Whistler's Fine Fish & Chips in Chichester

I’ve been using Whistler’s in Westbourne for around 15 years now. But, as I told the children running the operation, this is the last time I shall be using visiting this business - to general indifference, I have to say. Our previous visit was a slow painful disaster - watching staff amble about not quite knowing what was happening. And this evening - a month later after the last experience, they now have a computer system installed! Heaven help us! The clueless and now even more clueless!The results of this evenings adventure, after a half hour wait, was over cooked chicken and indifferent service.A shame, as we have enjoyed Whistlers for many years, but having youngsters with no clue running your business, over seen by older people with even less of a clue does not make a good business.This used to be an efficient and fast fish and chip shop. No longer.

Really good fish'n'chips! We're repeat - as in back again and again and again - customers. Today it was to pick up a meal to celebrate Great Granny's 99th birthday. The service was excellent and even included a birthday card. Thank you!

Definitely by far the best chip shop around I came in last night (15/02/22) and despite the stress that could be seen everyone tried their hardest to deliver their best despite this their food is to die for

I ordered on the app..pick up at five..had to stand outside for twenty minutes on a very cold night as they were working very slow..other people outside were getting ignored and not being served..I had ordered half a chicken presuming it would be" half a chicken "as I prefer breast meat I thought it would have a wing and breast ..got home to find I had been given two very greasy over cooked legs with hardly any meat..rang up to complain but was told there was nothing they can do and actually felt like I was in the wrong for daring to complain..so with very slow service and bad after care service and over cooked food I will no longer use Whistler's I will use mother Kelly's in Emsworth in future .

I don't usually complain about food, I just never go there again,I'll make an exception tonight. The chips you served tonight were the worst I've ever had. I literally wouldn't give them to my dog. Just how long had they been sitting under the heat lamp?I won't be making an exception to not going there again though. That's the last time I'm afraid.

Very disappointed to open up the box when we got home to find that most of the chips were small, hard and greasy and were from the bottom of the fryer. No need whatsoever to dish these up to anyone. Just poor service. Won't be ordering again.

Haven't used Whistler's for a long time as we usually come to the beach hut on a Sunday and they are closed. Booked Whistler's on the app for collection Friday at 630 /645 for a large haddock large cod, small cod large chips and pea fritter. Arrived to be told there was a delay due to a large order. Waited until after 7.. I cannot believe how slow service is compared to other shops. After the wait I rushed back to the beach hut to be so disappointed. Fish was so small and overcooked it was dry and chewy.. Basically unedable. The chips were anemic /totally under cooked and greasy.. The whole di ner was awful. Such a shame.
