Cote Brasserie - Amersham in Chiltern

A mid-week work dinner isn't the best way to experience the ambience of a place (we were a noisy bunch!) but the food gives one the same impression as it would at the weekend. As a vegan I'm used to having limited options and the dishes I 'chose' from the fixed price menu were fine - no actual choice, of course - and the wine was good too!

Very nice atmosphere, with good service and excellent food at a reasonable price. Recommended.

Attended a birthday celebration there today and was extremely impressed with the care they had gone to to decorate the area, the menu, the food quality and the friendliness of the staff. The wait between courses (and orders for each course being taken) was a little slow but otherwise a really enjoyable meal thank you.

Above all the staff are friendly and this counts for a lot. The food at Cote (across their chain) is not 10/10 but is of a high standard. The whole experience though is very good. Special mention for Polly at Amersham branch, who is great.

Awful experience. Cote came recommended and we were celebrating a 60th birthday celebration. 30 minutes to even get water on the table and additional time to even get drinks. All pre ordered yet it took 1 hr 25 minutes to get any food which looks disgraceful and didn't taste much better either, barely warm. Disgraceful do not book for any sort of eating or drinking and definitely not a celebration. We were only 8 people.

Always of a decent standard here, both food and service. Steaks possibly have the edge over "Killer and Martyr" if you know what I mean, (Spoonerism). Good menu, good choice if wines.

Stopped by for a meal to break up a long journey. Was glad we didn't have to book ahead and they were able to seat us as we walked in. Staff are very pleasant and courteous and service was great. I ordered the fillet and it was cooked to perfection (if perfection is cooked medium rare), only disappointed that it was served with rocket leaves that weren't dressed in any way. The husband ordered the fish stew and he said it was alright.

First visit today. Fabulous lunch (rib eye steak done to perfection!) and lovely service. My mum has allergies and they were really thorough in discussing those and offering substitutes to accommodate them. Looking forward to a return visit.

Food was awesome and service was very attentive. Shout to the GM, Reesh Sumtallee, who personally came to talk to me about some previous comments I had made. The vegan burger is excellent!
