The Cross Keys is totally ace! The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and have a lovely meal. We were having a laugh about the fact I like mint sauce with pork (I know weird right)… the pub didn’t have any so the owner went to the Co-op down the road and bought me some! Totally unnecessary but talk about wonderful customer service!! 😊 The outside seating area is great and warm with the heaters… always friendly good staff at this place. CRACKIN’ ROAST DINNER!Thank you Cross Keys, you know we’ll be back soon … with all the dogs! 😊

Such a nice pub with great food and wine. The team are so polite and friendly. Really enjoyed the yummy Mushroom and Tarragon soup followed by a delicious Frito Misto with wild garlic aioli. So yummy!Thank you, we’ll be back and willrecommend.

The chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding are the best we've ever had. Bangers and mash were solid, though I could barely taste the fish in my fish and chips. Solid selection of lagers.

Really disappointed ☹️ Saw the menu outside had nice hot sandwiches. Purposely went back for dinner time while staying away from home. Apparently that’s the lunch menu only. Assumed I’d misread & actually apologised on the way out!Checked the menu outside…. Turns out no mention of lunch only 😡**Response from the owner felt really condescending. I know pubs in the UK that continue to serve hot sandwiches&chips as part of their evening menus including two of my locals. Maybe you could just label the menus you display outside as lunch &/or evening (as many pubs & restaurants in the UK seem to) as a courtesy to your customers.

My wife & I went for lunch on Saturday 12th of February. We were served by 2 girls who were friendly and helpful. We ordered soup and sausage & mash, this was tasty. When the soup arrived though, this was lukewarm. We told a member of staff, a guy who said this must be a cold bowl! This was a stupid reason as the soup was obviously not warmed up enough. The soup was steaming when it was returned. The owner of the pub asked us if our food was good, we said the soup was too cold, the reply was that it couldn't have been too cold! What about the customer is always right! When the bill arrived, the soup was still on it, and all the drinks, £60 in total. It would've been nice to have the soup taken off the bill. Will not be returning to this pub.

Lovely little pub, with a nice outside seating area. Parking at the rear also. The staff we're very friendly and good fun. The food we ate was flawless pub fare. I had a perfect handmade pie (minced beef) with delicious mash and green beans. The wife had a goats cheese and red onion chutney pizza, which was perfectly put together.
