I have eaten here a couple of times in the past and had good food in a nice relaxing atmosphere. I came here with my son and his wife for Sunday roast last weekend and again the food was absolutely lovely. The beef rib literally fell off the bone, the vegetables and potatoes cooked well and was good portion sizes. The service was very good and efficient although it was quite busy. Most people were eating the roast so I suspect it's highly recommended. The starters were equally as good as the main as was the puddings. I would definitely recommend eating here. The pub itself is also large enough not to be over crowded which is also a positive .

Friendly service and good food. Sat in the garden to eat as the weather was good. They have a few vegan options along with pub favourites. Plenty of space to relax and good parking. Dog friendly with water and treats outside.

Lovely Sunday Lunch!!! Everyone was friendly, served promptly. Soup for me and muscles for hubby as starters were spot on. Roast beef was Perfect, loved the Yorkshire pudding and choice of veg all served piping hot as promised!!! Finished up with a salted caramel sundae for hubby and chocolate brownie for me just delicious. Lovely experience will be back for more after I recover from my food coma 🤤

Great service, lovely food and nice atmosphere. We had excellent meal and would definitely recommend. Really friendly and helpful staff. My 3 children especially loved it. Thank you.

Great starters, mains were good portions with fresh ingredients. Dissapointed with the children's chicken goujons as they were basically only batter with the thinnest piece of chicken and over fried. Very unhealthy choice for children. Even the children didn't want to eat it.

The staff are polite and helpful. I was there for a wake, and they set out an area to accommodate those who attended. The buffet was excellent and laid out well. I would recommend the pub as a place to visit for a meal.

We have dined here numerous times. As a couple, within a larger group and with friends. It never disappoints. The chefs special the last time (venison and duck suet pudding pie), was spectacular!

Such a lovely old pub food was great as was the service. Wonderful garden in the Summer. One small niggle cobwebs in the top of the window frames with spider dangling down. Eek!

The Crown at Penn. I live very local and have been here many times but never reviewed.I have now been twice since the total relaxing of covid regs. Both times we have had small issues. The first time it was the time taken to get ordered and for food to arrive, I can't blame the staff for this as they always looked so busy. The second time it was availability of draught beer and menu items. The pub itself is a great place to sit and chat, the staff are excellent and the food and drink are excellent too.Large car park. Large garden. Lovely setting.I will definitely come again.

Visited here and stayed for a drink and a share board. I must say this is a fantastic pub, the decor and atmosphere of the place is just right. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The drinks and food I had were served fast and with a smile. Prices were good too. Can’t ask for more than that, would definitely return!
