Red Lion, Penn Village Green in Chiltern

Went to The Red Lion at Penn for an evening meal with two family members on a Saturday. We were warmly greeted, had a good choice of main meals and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will go back and would recommend.

Ordered food to have the waiter return to say didnt have any that item so had to re order, i think being told when first given menu would have been better. The chicken burger was dry and overcooked the onion rings were greasy. Overall not impressed

Best pub in the village, only negative is there is not a lot of seating and people book so chances of a table on a Saturday are dubious if you did not plan ahead mid weekGoing beer and restaurant quality food make this an obvious choice if you are in the area

The Red Lion is a wonderful pub, full of character and serves the tastiest food. Glorious Lou who runs the pub is helpful, kind and full of charisma. She has put together a brilliant team and pours the best local Ale. Couldn't love this place anymore!

Linda and I went there with some friends for a mid-week lunch after a nice long walk, and I have to say, we were all very impressed. The lady who served us was 1st class in that she had a lovely bubbly personality, was professional in her approach, gave us prompt service, checked with us to make sure what we got was up to standard. Great food, great atmosphere, lovely staff, I have to say Sean and Vanessa have done a wonderful job in making this experience into something special - Highly recommended.

What a great pub! excellent food and drink and a chilled atmosphere. You are hob nobbing with the well-to-do in Penn, there were some cool cats in whilst we were here.

Popped in for a Sunday roast. And we're NOT disappointed. Stunning meal. Lovely pub in a beautiful village location. Will definitely be visiting again

Cosy friendly pub that does lovely fish and chips in two sizes. Also has a brunch menu Tuesday to Saturday TIL 2pm with full English or lighter options like eggs Benedict smoked salmon etc.Great location opposite the duck pond and the bus stop if you can’t drive!! Also nice walk behind the pub with kids dogs etc.

Great place I dont live in the area so was glad for somewhere near I could chill and relax....Staff is really great and very helpfulHad a burger today and I like burger sauce....chef made a spicy sauce for me im still licking my lips
