Saracen's Head Inn Bar & Restaurant in Chiltern

Stayed at the Saracen's Head last weekend with some friends - the pub is gorgeous and historical, the rooms were cosy and clean and the breakfast in the morning was very good. We all really enjoyed ourselves, and spent Saturday evening having food and drinks in the pub, the bar staff were lovely, and the pub was just really cosy and pleasant. It was exactly what we wanted from our overnight break.

So far so good. Does what it says on the tin!! A bit of friendly chaos doesn't do anyone any harm...looking forward to food and a couple more beers !

Somehow missed is pub on previous trips to Amersham. Pretty and cosy old pubLess busy than others in the town but better for it. Genuinely friendly guy behind the bar. Well kept beers. Decent, good value Sunday roast (with the exception of the very bland veg).

Food is divine. Went with a party of 12 as my daughter's birthday celebration and we all had the most amazing and unforgettable time. Lovely staff.

Went here after a funeral and although it was heaving with a wake, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They found room for us and bought drinks up to us. Lovely place

This is a lovely pub in old Amersham, dating back to the 1500's. Inside it is clean and comfortable, and the service was very friendly. The walls are decorated with pictures of the town and surroundings on times gone by, which adds to the atmosphere. We had lunch there. The sausages were good and the mash was truly excellent. The burgers and chips were really nice too. Would definitely eat there again.

Lovely old style traditional local pub. Very friendly bar staff and great generous drinks! Nice outside seating area as well as a warm and cosy marquee for those chilly evenings! Recommend!

Amazing attentive staff. Friendly but professional & welcoming. The room we had was spacious & clean. The food, breakfast & evening meals, was excellent.The facilities available for the wake we also held were ideal. The separate marquee gave us a private & relaxing space for our gathering. The buffet was excellent, plentiful & tasty. Tea & coffee was refilled throughout the time we were there. Although all this was faultless I must repeat that it is the staff that really add the extra positive aspect to this venue. I can't speak highly enough of them all.I recommend this as a place to stay and a venue for functions.
