Proper pub with great food and a friendly welcome. Under same management for decades and it shows through in the best possible ways.

Food and service good as basic English. Large range of sandwiches etc. The visit was with a small group of 8 for lunch by pre-arrangement which worked well πŸ˜€

Very friendly country pub. We went for Sunday lunch which was cooked fresh and was delicious. Serving staff were very friendly and helpful. I will certainly return next time I'm in the area.

Not a great garden to be honest. Inside was quite out of date. But the beer tasted lovely, wonderful people to talk to and the staff were very helpful and bubbly. We did want food but they had to close the kitchen early which was a bit of a downer but not really their fault. As such a solid 3, there are other places around but quite some distance. They achieved their goal of serving a lovely pint πŸ˜‰

I have enjoyed visiting the Bell . A very welcoming atmosphere and a quintessential English pub. I've only had the real ales but the food looks excellent. Dog friendly. You will no doubt if you visit, meet Brian, a really nice man. Very nice local people. Nice outdoor facility, especially in good weather. Staff excellent too. Well done.

Traditional free house with fresh Anglo-Franco pub food. The young wait staff were eager and nice and the owner was an absolute hoot. The food was mostly good and hearty but with the vegetarian dish leaving a bit to be desired. The lamb burger was a bit dense, the chips were fantastic! Enjoyable experience but not sure I would go out of my way to go again. Reasonable prices and good ambience for a local chesham pub. Dogs welcome and good selection of drinks. Friendly locals.

A somewhat lack lustre experience in a lovely old pub that could do with some brightening up. It was a cold day and the pub lacked any warmth and cheer so not terribly inviting. Service was slow considering we were the only 4 people having lunch. The food was tasty and well cooked however. Probably won't bother returning.
