The Polecat Inn in Chiltern

I had a pizza which wasn't terrible but also wasn't great, it could have had a few more minutes too make it less sloppy. My company had four rib eye steaks.. Really sorry to say that it was quite honestly shocking. They looked like £2.99 minute steaks from a supermarket. I was glad I had the pizza as I would have returned the steak had it been mine. All of my friends declined to return theirs we paid and left. Wouldn't return or recommend for food. Nice garden and cold drinks. Don't get the steak.

Went to The Polecat for a birthday lunch with friends. We sat in a pod which is fun and so nice to be private The food was good. Hot and tasty. The chips were some of the nicest that I have ever had.The venue has been designed to a very high standard. It is clean and super trendy. I would recommend this restaurant very highly to anyone that is looking to enjoy themselves.

The venue was lovely, the food was great. However the staff were unbelievably rude, unhelpful and thoroughly unpleasant. Unfortunately despite the pub being delightful I wouldn’t return, never have I felt less welcome. Despite the great location and food being great this is undoubtedly a pub to avoid unless you like being treated awfully

Lovely place to eat. Great food, nice staff, fantastic ambience. Had a lovely meal with my family and the staff couldn't have been nicer. In the way in, my elderly father stumbled and fell. The staff were really great and helpful. Thanks for a lovely time. X

Visited this evening with family to celebrate my daughters birthday. We sat in one of the pods located in the wonderfully decorated garden area. The pod itself was pleasantly comfortable, with music and soft lighting.The meals were of good portion size, tasty, and wait times between courses was ok.We would like to give a special shout out to our server Frank, who was very pleasant, polite and courteous; a true asset to the company and hope he gets all the credit he deserves.

Visited as a family of 4 for a wholesome Sunday roast. Starters were not amazing, the Bruschetta consisted of warm/hot mushy tomatoes which was a little strange. The roast was great as was desert! I would have rated 4 star however, our waitress Becky went above and beyond to provide the most friendly service - that she made it a 5 star experience. Becky (our children named Super Becky) was absolutely incredible with every table and was clearly working so hard to ensure all diners were very happy. We will definitely return!

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely food, very tasty, food beautifully presented and excellent range of options to meet everyone's needs.It was very busy and maybe that's why we had to wait longer than usual and had to ask multiple times for several things we ordered.Staff very friendly though and we will definitely be visiting again.

The oak pods at the polecat are inspired. It is absolutely my favourite place to go and eat with friends. The pods are super personal and the food is fantastic. If you haven't been yet, you should!

One of the best restaurants I have EVER eaten in!!!! We booked one of the oakpods, and inside you had blankets, a heater and leads to connect your phone to their speaker. Me and my Mum had the pork belly, honestly........ its the best pork belly I have ever had! I cant even big this place up enough! Everything about it was amazing! The food, the cocktails and the service!! 12 out of 10 from me.

The booking process was so simple. We arrived a little early for our booking and we’re seated immediately.Being a GF, dairy free, pescatarian, it’s often difficult to find more than one or two options on a menu. At the Polecat Inn, I was spoilt for choice.The service was efficient and with a smile, and even gave a few recommendations for drink pairing.When the food arrived, we were all pleasantly surprised. It was delicious & the portions were just right.The decor was simple, elegant the volume of the ambient music was perfect.
