Giraffe in Crawley

Friendly staff members. View into the kitchen. Open plan tables with booths and comfortable wall bench/chairs. I had the big breakfast, mushrooms were to die for, and runny friend eggs cooked to perfection. Next time I come to Gatwick, I will be stopping here again.

We had a great meal last night 18th June. Served by a Spanish lady I think, what an asset she is in this restaurant ! Only person who smiled and made our meal enjoyable. She was so attentive to our table and I think this needs recognition, she went above and beyond to make our hour great. One thing we noticed is when the restaurant stopped taking diners there was a constant flow of people being turned away ! Huge loss of income there, maybe a sign at the front of the entrance saying CLOSED would be better and far more informative than having to tell disappointed people that you close so early. I’m not sure the wet floor sign has the right message.

Mixed feelings. Ordered the fish and chips which was lacking flavor on all levels, I had to drown it in malted vinegar! Kids ordered Salmon bowl and a pulled pork burger. The pulled pork burger was very good, meaty! Service was very good and fast. So fast I suspect some dishes were reheated and this dry. Can’t remember what my wife ordered. Atmosphere, noisy, slightly stressy, didn’t help with the Tinsely music on broken speakers? 90 something £ for 4 people with tip? Again airport food.. mixed feelings.

Great service, food came out really quickly and there was a great vibe in the place. Couldn't fault it. Thank you Giraffe team 😀

On the positive side, great service and good selection of drinks and a reasonable atmosphere. On the down side, ordered Chicken Katsu. Chicken cooked ok but virtually no curry sauce and served on bed of noodles fried with some soggy vegetables which were sweet and cloying. Not Katsu.

Quick service and such lovely staff. The manager personally saw to it that my daughter had a dessert after they sold out of ice cream. So kind! The food was filling and good for the price.

Painfully slow service from staff that act as if you don't matter because, let's face it, they're highly unlikely to see you again! We arrived when it was quiet, the restaurant had only a few customers, but the staff were all buzzing around doing goodness knows what - very disorganised. However, once you finally get someone to acknowledge your existence and take your order, the food does come quickly.

Had the classic burger and i really dislike it as the patty was not even juicy and fresh. It doesn’t even taste like beef patty at all (sadly) but the portion was huge. Maybe you can order something else, buy skip the classic burger (sorry no pic) 😭

Highly recommend Giraffe who provided a lovely meal after a long flight - a must if you are in the area - big shout out to Dino for looking after the boys ☺️ we will back back again!

Amazing first day off opening south terminal. I was very stressed before my exams and before the flight . Two lovely ladies I don’t know their names . Possibly Polish or any other east Europe looked after me . I m am chef myself and I may say the salmon benedict was just the way I wanted 🙃🙏 definitely recommended. Also the service was amazing they made me feel like home . Well done team
