Disgusting dry hard and chewy chips again!!! You just lost a loyal customer of 30years!!! Bad customer service too whilst on phone to them. When I called the shop, they said we don’t re fry chips but a while back they admitted they do! When he put me on hold, bearing in mind I can hear you - he said to the manager she’s a moody one on the phone, the manager said just complain to just eat so no offer of a better customer service or compensation! My bro in law owns a chippy and never have they ever been hard dry and chewy chips. A baby could die by choking on one of those chips!!! Such a shame that the foreign man who used to run, isn’t there anymore as he gave the shop a brilliant vibe and always looked after his customers. 30 years of buying from this shop and now they’ve lost a once loyal customer!!! You lie to your customers cause you admitted previously that delivery food is re fried (blanched) and fresh chips is for walking trade only. This is disgusting as those chips could be used as bullets!!! Never coming back to such a poor establishment who is just money hungry!!! Master Fryer all the way 👍🏽

What i ordered & what i got are two entirely different things! Clearly the burger advertised looks like a meat alternative burger. What i got was sloppy mash, peas & carrots, mixed together & shaped like a burger. It was more a fish cake but without the fish. Even the the colour of it was closer to a fish cake. In my opinion this is definitely false advertising. Very deceiving. Either a true likeness photo needs to be used or an honest description of what the burger (if you can even call it that) is made of. Didn’t taste nice either, it went straight in the bin.

Very good. We had cod, calamari, scampi and chips. All good and the cod was a good thick fillet. We will go again.... Thanks.

Out of the 35 options, they only had 3 vegetarian options, a very tasteless veggie burger, a pineapple friter which they didn't have available and onion rings. There was also a bench to "sit" on, which was wet, the veggie burger is impossible to eat, better off cutting it in half, or going to McDonald's and getting it cheaper and tastier

There was blood on the cashiers hands when giving me the food, her blood was also on the bag, I informed her that "you're bleeding" and though I understand accidents can happen, this is a serious health and safety concern when dealing with food in the service industry however the staff seem to be quite blasé about this hygiene issue.Putting someone else's health risk because they "didn't notice" is not a reasonable excuse when putting customers health at risk, it is the responsibility of the staff to have a safe and clean working space however they have neglected to safeguard themselves or their customers.As this was my first time going to this shop, my experience was unsettling so I will not be going back however if the owners do get the opportunity to read this I hope they will take measures so that their food, customers and staff are safe. Might I suggest gloves.

Way too small portion and it cost £10.60 for a cod and chips. The quality of the fish is not fresh and the chips really not good enough. Never ever again and it is the worst fish and chips shop in the area. The lady is not good behind the counter and she seems like can't be asked.

Visited this wonderful chip shop when visiting family. Can I just say their food is top notch, best fish and chips in the area. Nice fluffy chips, and cod grilled to perfection. Nice that they offer the healthy alternative too, which up north isn't offered so much.

11 years today since my father in law passed away and we chose to order where we have been for years, which dad loved. We ordered a lot for our family and kids. I was told on the phone they were fried twice just because we ordered for delivery? We waited a long time and have to order again elsewhere on Uber eats. Everyone was hungry, you don’t say okay when a customer is disappointed. The lady said her self they fry it twice. People who come to the shop get fresh food! Not once she said anything to help or rectify their mistake.You didn’t offer to help on phone to my niece so I went in the shop. All our chips were dry not soft. I left this comment when the chips came.mother’s did too. I spoke to the small lady and all she said was okay when I said what the chips were like and brought back the inedible chips. So yeah it is fair I tell the truth. You told my niece on the phone the chips were put back in so they stay warm when they get delivered. Did you all look at the chips o brought back? You rectified issue only when we came in and had to make another phone call by my niece. The children were hungry and everyone else! Next time customer tells you something don’t listen listen you do something about it not when customer repeats themselves and asks for fresh food again.Won’t be coming again now. So disappointed and your denying what you said on phone.

The staff was good and from service point of view it was good .... I had taken a delivery for fish and chips .... the fish was too greasy and oily .... halloumi I tried had oil dripping too ... this is a very busy place and the turn around time was good considering the rush ... they take card payments / Apple Pay for purchases above 5 pounds which is a plus but they should do something about the greasiness but fish was good

Our local fish and chippy and is the best we've ever had! Our daughter loves the kids burger and chips, also comes with activity pack and drink. Cod & chips is always top quality with very little grease, plus huge huge servings for the money. Thank you so much for always exceeding our expectations, truly the best!!
