Pizza Express in Crawley

I booked The Pizza Making Party for my daughters 8th Birthday and 12 of her friends.(24th April) I can highly recommend this experience for any children's party. Josh (pizza host/chef) was just brilliant with the children entertaining and funny kept the children engaged in their pizza creations and Margie(waitress) was welcoming and efficient and made sure we had everything we needed.Thank you to all the staff at Pizza Express Crawley for a fantastic party.

Good variety of pizza bases and topping including lots of vegan ones. Friendly staff along with quick but not rushed service.

Never liked the layout and atmosphere of this restaurant. It feels like a school canteen. Waiting staff are slow and moody and don’t seem to know who’s doing what despite it not being busy. Chef refused to add cheese to a dish as apparently that woul have been too much for him and pizzas arrived wet with over cooked egg on the fiorentine. Probably the worst site I’ve visited

Friendly service and prompt but my pasta was burnt and I was surprised they actually had the gall to attempt to serve it to me. The second helping was better and the eating experience was satisfactory. I will probably call again.

Had a lovely Saturday lunch. Service was friendly and very welcoming. Food was superb. I would definitely recommend and be back soon. The burnt ends pizza is delicious, sweet and lightly spicy I ordered it with thin crust. I was surprised how thin it was and still felt fully satisfied.

Disgusting food,We have waited 2 hours to get this food delivered lol. Half of the order was missing, another half was incorrect and I had black pieces on my chicken (dirt maybe definitely not coal). Went to the bin straight....

Nice place for dinner. Pizza was great, I had a white base (for the first time ever) on my pizza - absolutely amazing! . Local was nice and cosy. Stuff was very helpful with drinks. I had amazing gin&tonic. We enjoyed our evening. Highly recommend.

Dear  Pizza Express,A couple of months ago I discovered that PE has a vegan menu.My daughter & I travel around the country and tried your vegan pizza in Birmingham and in Xscape PE and we really loved it.We leave near Crawley and last night we decided to try the one in Crawley.We placed our order for 4 pizzas around 19.21 PM on 22/01/22  with a collection time of 19.45.I have arrived at the store on time where I was seen by the manager Danny, who told me there will be a 20-minute wait, I told him that I have a baby on board waiting in the car and that's the main reason we ordered collection, he said that he was sorry.Came back to the store at 20.10 and waited patiently for another half an hour; at 20.40 I had to ask the depute manager what was going on, as our order was almost an hour late. Vicki came back with our pizzas straight away. I guess they were sitting there for ages and getting cold, they definitely were cold by the time we got home and it's only about an 8-minute drive.I'd like to complain about the customer service I have received in your Crawley restaurant especially about the manager Danny. I feel that I was ignored and made waiting unnecessarily.

Worst customer service I have experienced to date. The service was so slow! I arrived at 6pm and didn't leave until 8.30pm - there were only 3 of us. We had to wait 45 minutes between our starter and main which is far too long when you have an infant with you.We asked for a children's colouring in pack 3 times to keep our child entertained. The waiter went to get it all 3 times and never came back with it. The staff then got annoyed with my child wanted to run around which obviously we stopped her from doing.We asked for more drinks 4 times, which we had to keep chasing as they never arrived.Waiting for the bill was even more of a joke... one table actually decided to walk out due to the poor service and the time it took and I wish I had done the same. I would understand if the place was busy, but it really wasn't!Customer service training is most definitely needed here. I would never return to Crawley Pizza Express as the staff haven't got a clue what they're doing.

A nice clean restaurant, good food but very busy so don't expect speedy service! We were a large party and had booked our menu choices in advance but we still waited for nearly an hour for our food. Beware though as service charge is automatically added to the bill - this was deducted at our request.
