Sultan Restaurant in Crawley

Good food, friendly staff. They cook kebabs on a charcoal grill, which is a reason in itself to go there. I ordered lamb kofte kebab, which takes about 10 minutes to prepare on the grill. The food is simple, delicious and the people are nice. There are only three tables, better for take out. I will certainly go back next time I am in Crawley.

Visited this place while on business. Ended up eating there a good few nights. Prices are reasonable and people are a huge help and polite. If I'm ever back down I'll be sure to stop in.

I would not recommend this restaurant due to our recent experience. Firstly, the food was presented in very unprofessional way. We ordered two lamb donor kebab with bread and two 1/4 cheese burgers. The donor was cold, salad was old and bread did not turn up more than 10 minutes. The burgers were burnt one of the child refused to eat at all. When my husband spoke to the gentlemen that he tried to eat but it's cold and not edible and asked him to check what he feels about. He didn't admit that it was cold in first place. My husband said if you think it is edible I will pay otherwise he won't for such type of food. The guy said that he won't let us leave the building until we pay and called the police saying customer has eaten the food and now refusing to pay. The guy started filming us and making funny body movements infront of CCTV which I highly doubt it was working because he was filming us with his smart phone later he had a bodycam and another phone on him. In the mean time we called police as he closed the door and threatened that he wouldn't let us go until we have paid for the food. Not even one quarter of one of the donor was eaten and half of the burger and may be one drink. We had security concerns for our two kids one of which was my sons school friend who is very poorly after trying a little bit of donor. My son ulcers in his mouth and we all had sore throat and tummy ache, with the that little amount we tried to eat. I am wondering what would have happened if we ate all. Anyhow being trapped in the building upstairs with no cutomer at all was terrifying and the kids were crying and asking us to pay and leave the building. I had deep concerns about the children and one of the adult was 9 days after surgery and stoma bag. We requested the guy several times to let us go and my husband will stay behind. But he didn't, we requested police after making several calls. They finally turned up after two hours and we left the building securely with an intention never to go to such a horable place with unpleasant and disrespectful staff. We were accused of our religion as how on earth our religion allow us to eat without paying he called my husband a liar. He mentally harassed oir children and started telling them that your parents are doing wrong, if they pay, they can go. He used a term that he is teaching kids HUMANITY. Does that not raise a question if his act was a humane act.Never ever go to restaurants who doesn't know even very common human manners. It was very unprofessional, disrespectful, mentally harrasing, racist act.I wouldn't recommend to anyone if you are looking for a quality food, good service, respect as a buyer which is a legal right.

Managers rude and far from useful food turned up cold staff are very disrespectful and unhelpful after spending silly money for a takeaway would not recommend to anyone poor customer service and a far lack of help from anyone in the shop after calling and making a complaint about the food being cold and being called a liar and explaining that customers should have a service provided by the company where for their food should be hot and acceptable for human consumption however this was not the case and would not recommend anyone to eat from this establishment

This place is awsome fantastic food , very much recommend it and the Mohammed was a very welcoming person.if your at Gatwick airport England waiting for a flight take a cab and gett some delicious food.I will be back thank you again for a great meal .

Love this place! The food is great and the service is friendly. The owner (Mustafa) is always happy to see us (and always remembers my name!)Definitely our favourite restaurant in Crawley!

I was so excited to eat turkish food,looove turkish food!!!but i was very dissapointed with this place,the reason i give 2 stars is for the staff and for the place as it looked clean,but the food was a massive let down,i ordered grilled mushrooms with rice,first my order was wrind they brought out halloummi in stade of the mushrooms(we were the only costumers!)when the mushrooms came they were SWIMING in oil,my husband ordered the kebab which was average...i was extremly dissapointed,(on the plus side I LOVED THEIR BREAD,IT'S REALLY NICE)but can't go there just to have the bread....😔

Portions are quite small especially the family meal have beenIn to eat many times and they charge you the same to eat in or delivery ( they should do a discount on delivery because alot less hassle for them) , ordered for delivery and me and partner will still quite hungry after ordering family meal for 2 , however the food is quality and the meat is really tender and tasty ( cooked to its best) , chips are overpriced but have to say if the portions were a tiny bit bigger this would definitely be one of the best restaurants in Crawley !!

Lovely little restaurant, staff were extremely friendly and the food was great. Good price too! I will definitely go back.

Quite simply the best turkish food I have had. Ive best been London and Turkey but this touched new height of authenticity and comfort. A great place to grab lunch, take a date or even a small birthday. Highly recommended.
