I visit quite frequently. Always consistently high quantity food and service. An excellent restaurant for small or larger groups. The staff are very welcoming.

I usually order lamb biriyani with curry soup, First time the Biriyani/curry taste was very good but for the subsequent orders the taste of biriyani is keep on reducing, at one stage I felt that I'm not eating lamb biriyani. It is bit expensive but not getting what I'm paid for.I'm never going to order from this restaurant again...

Had a lunch at Taj Mahal recently. Taste was very exquisite — and extremely authentic! The Management- Led by Mr Hussain - is always courteous, helpful & ready to go extra mile to make overall experience a memorable one. Recommended if you are in Crawley or have enough time before catching a flight from Gatwick.

I've ordered from the restaurant in the evening for a delivery and it was accepted and two drivers were willing to collect the order. both did not arrive, made me wait for an hour not giving me a notice about this so tried calling them but they were closed. how do you accept an order and have drivers ready to pick and not deliver or at least contact the customer, very unprofessional. very unhappy with the experience

What a pleasant experience visiting Taj Mahal today. We have been served by very lovely staff and food was amazing. Everything in food was perfect. Best cuisine in Crawley. Will come back again soon.

Chose this restaurant as my usual was closed. The service was cold and rude. They gave me a big "promotional" discount, which I found out why a couple of hours later. Experienced violent food poisoning symptoms for two days straight. The food was low quality and over priced. Would NOT recommend.

We were welcomed in to the very nicely appointed dining room and drinks were sorted quickly. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb. I have to say some of the low rating reviews here appear to say more about the reviewer than the restaurant. People complaining the food was too spicy are way off.The tandoori prawns and herb coated chicken starters were just fantastic. Our friends ordered the miced starters and loved them..For main course I had a Jalfrezi, which was perfectly judged, just enough heat without ever being overbearing. (i could have taken a bit more heat tbf).My partner had the Lamb chaxuti which was rich and sweet with tamarind. The lamb was perfect, melt in the mouth. No chewy lamb here. The sides of black dahl, tarka dahl, rice, garlic naan and keema naan were all absolutely spot on.We will be returning. 5 stars all day long.

Horrendous service and food - staff actually racially abused us…..Came with my other half for dinner and the experience was terrible. Specifically asked for a fish curry with no spice at all, when it came it was incredibly spicy (my other half who eats very spicy food tasted it and said it was even too spicy for him). We sent it back politely and the staff member came and whipped it away rudely. Brought it back 10 minutes later (by which time my other half had finished his) and it was even spicier!! When we politely flagged down a staff member and again explained that it was actually even spicier, the staff member was extremely rude and told me maybe I should just “stick to chicken nuggets or pizza if you can’t handle any spice”. Even the table next to us were so disgusted with their attitude that they complained to the manager on our behalf too. Management simply brushed the whole thing off, didn’t even apologise and we then had to argue to even get the dishes taken off the bill. Needless to say we won’t be going again and neither will any of our friends.

The first observation was that the staff who attended , I did not find him courteous and polite in his demeanour ... the restaurant has a minimum order of 40 pounds plus compulsory service charge , so be prepared for minimum bill of 45 plus for 2 people even if you that hungry or not .. this notice is not evident or you are not informed about it when u enter .... I ordered approx 35 pound stuff but then I was informed about this and then was asked to order more so as I didn’t have the appetite and did not wanted to waste food I simply asked to parcel the extra main directly from kitchen ... overall food was ok and expensive for what’s offered but with this service and experience won’t recommend
