"At The Master Fryer we still do things the traditional way; preparing the fish and potatoes each day in the morning so that everything is as fresh as it can possibly be. We only use the best British Maris Piper potatoes cut chunky to absorb less oil and use the finest sustainable fish from the clear waters of the Faroe Islands. With nothing else added other than some seasoning and a light batter, then fried in vegetable oil - it's a lot healthier than you might think! We can get pretty busy at peak times with the queue winding out of the door onto the pavement outside but don't worry if you see it like this when you visit, our friendly servers can cut through the queue in no time at all."

Fish and chips was expensive. Fish was nice but chips were awful. Chips are always hit and miss. Sometimes lovely and Sometimes not. Staff are always friendly though

Re-writing this review because you can’t leave two ! SoHaving to do another! Went here today for fish and chips ! Absolutely sodden in grease ! It had literally soaked through all the paper and it was drenched! Then to top it off I ordered it inline from the car outside! It said 7:30pm pick up at 7:13 I arrived at the chip shop ! This is the first time I’ve ordered this way ! So I thought maybe they call you or your number etc etc ! So I stood there from 7:13 till 7:29 then I made them aware that I had arrived because I hadn’t been called or anything etc etc ! She reached for a bag and handed it to me ! The same bag that had been there the whole time ! So just in the time I got there it had sat in the paper for 15 minutes and that was whilst I was there ! So no wonder everything inside is absolutely deluged in oil ! It was quite literally disgusting! NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Used the click and collect service. Excellent website and ready in 25 minutes. Arrived at shop and well organised and simple collection ready on time. Would recommend.

I posted a very negative post on here last week as I felt let down. Today I spoke with the manager and he apologized and we came to an arrangement. So I have removed the previous post as I feel they have dealt with the issue satisfactory.

Recently moved to the area and first time ordering. One of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Delivered via Deliveroo. It was amazingly packaged and so warm. Thoroughly recommend

Such great food! Large chips really is a large chips and the minted mushy peas are genius! Boyfriend says it's proper curry sauce too, haven't found anyone else who does it that way. Highly recommended.

Service was appallingly slow. I was stood at the order point for over 7minutes before I was even acknowledged! Servers seemed totally overwhelmed by less than 6 people who were waiting!If the food wasn't as good tasting as it is I would definitely use another chippy!Deliveroo orders seemed to be prioritised over walk in customers and even the Deliveroo couriers were questioning the time taken!Need to improve customer service and fast!

Tonight was the first time we've ordered, was delivered by deliveroo. We will definitely order again. Gorgeous fish with lovely crispy batter and nice chips. All very yummy and good size portions. You have a new customer !! Thank you.

Don’t eat here! They gave me food poisoning, was in hospital for 6 days after throwing up non stop for 3 days.I ordered fish cake and chips…expect a fresh fish cake instead got told ‘it’s ready now’..but then I had to wait 5-7 mins whist they messed around with it. They basically re-fried it, they knew it was ‘throwing it away time’ but still tried to put profit above health.I ate it and chips on way home, fish cake was practically black…worst decision of my life.Threw up Monday morning till Wednesday morning, called ambulance, then spent 6 days in hospital.Thank you very much!

Visited yesterday 30.09.19, 3 people already ordered and waiting... I ordered scampi and chips, waited 30 minutes for Deliveroo orders and orders after me to be served first, expressed my annoyance and when I finally got to put my food on my plate, it was over cooked... Really poor service all round, gone downhill, different staff every night
