The decor makes the place feel clinical and unwelcoming although the staff were pleasant and did their best to make us comfortable. There are some excellent value meal choices. I had a steak sandwich: delicious sour dough bread containing unremarkable steak.

Very bad. Had to wait 2.30 hours for the meal, and when we got eventually it wasn't that good 👎 Don't wast your time.

Just enjoyed a really nice roast beef dinner, couldn't fault it & service was really good too

A local pub with a modern refurb.Clean crisp with a good lick of paint, the pub is open light and airy.Lots of parking with no issues.A friendly welcome with a choice of seating, we choose the rear restaurant over looking the garden which has been refurbished.Nice solid tables which were clean and clear.Our waitress was lovely and personable who have us all the time we needed and gave recommendations for dinner.All 4 of us had the different roast dinners and hands down can say they were the best roast dinners we've had in a very long time, they were just like 'round ya nans' cooking.Propa potatoes and propa gravy and you each get a jug so no skimping.The portions were just right, you didn't feel bloated and had room for dessert.The chicken was moist, the beef was soft, the lamb was tender. None of it was tough or fatty.But I now must mention dessert, we all had a crumple pie... Wow! I highly recommend the banoffee apple crumple pie lathered in hot custard. (didn't get a chance for a pic lol)The locals in the pub were friendly and courteous, I'd feel comfortable spending the afternoon here for a few beers.All in all we enjoyed our visit here and would recommend going here to eat with friends. Much better than going to a chain pub.It's the sort of pub I'd want as my local....

Proper traditional pub with a good selection of real ale.First time we’ve been here and the staff made us feel very welcome.Quality of the food was excellent, much better and cheaper than you’ll find in any nearby chain pub.

Nice friendly staff, reasonably priced food, they do Sunday lunch, big beer garden and they have a stage for bands.

Beer was good, choice of three real ales. Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime (very little choice for food) and it was empty. Quaint enough but desperately in need of some restoration.

Was invited to attend a baby shower which was hosted here. From the outside you don't have high expectations of the place, and the inside certainly feels very old which can be nice, but the decor leaves a lot to be desired. I get the feeling the crowd are very local. However things improve drastically outside in their beer garden which is really lovely on a sunny day. With a dedicated smoking area that looks more like a little barn, outside circular bar, and benches and grassy areas, along with a nice relaxed seating area with comfortable outdoor chairs it's a real credit to the place, and I will definitely keep it in mind for sunny drinking days!

Ignore this pub looking a bit tired I have just had the best Rib eye steak since the one I had in Paris utterly superb and the beers good too we would highly recommend this place
