Cafe Concerto in Dartford

Absolutely disappointed with the service at Westfield Stratford today. I really want to highlight this so It never happens again. Was absolutely disgusted . I ordered apple crumble and was told it’s not available so can order something else fair enough I then ordered Red velvet cake which came and was absolutely dry to the point is was hard to even cut or bite. I asked for a change and I was offered leftover apple crumble from another person. The waiter had the audacity to ask me well you wanted apple crumble before so someone else ordered it and now he’s too full and doesn’t want to eat it he’s barely touched it . It was served to them so shall we bring it for you that’s the last piece? I was shocked I said Absolutely not ! This is appalling for a cafe like concerto to offer leftovers to diners! I am paying full I am not here for leftovers from other people who don’t feel like eating it anymore. I politely refused and ordered chocolate fondant with ice cream which they served without cutlery. How was I supposed to eat it ? I asked for a spoon and kept waiting then I asked again and they had the audacity to tell me why don’t you use the teaspoon that came with your tea? Like seriously ? Is this the service I am paying for ? No Thankyou . I will never come again to be embarrassed like this. I felt disrespected and not welcomed . Will never go there again! You should hire better staff !

Went in there with my friend as we really fancied a nice desert place. Very disappointed. We sat outside as was a nice evening, all was good and cozy and while we were choosing what to order we heard the manager or assistant manager not sure giving one to one coating conversation to one of the employees. She was so loud and aggressive that even though she sat far from us we could hear very clearly what was being said and we could not even focus on the menu as she was so derogative and rude with the employee. She said things like you always give me stress and because of you I loose my money as because you slow customers gives less tips etc.. she said to him that this job is not for him… I felt very sad for the employee as she was very aggressive and he must have felt so imbarased and humiliated… I understand that maybe not everyone is cut out to work in a busy environment etc but you could at least speak with them with respect and in private and not for the whole restaurant and other employees to hear.. we left at the end without ordering as was very unpleasant environment to sit and enjoy the desert, I actually told her that we are leaving because of her and that she is being rude and disrespectful, she said sorry to us but as we walked of I could here her continue to be rude with him. We all have bad days and difficult situations, and maybe he deserves the talk, but please do it privately… that’s why it’s called one to one. Will not be coming back there

This was the first cake which was some what hollow from the bottom when we cut into it, once again not enough larger options of cakes. Either option it to order in advance or take a chance.

Fabulous! Had coffee with a friend and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The interior decor is lush. Love the seating arrangement. The drinks and cake were yummy. If you're looking for a place to have cake and coffee outside the regular, try Caffè Concerto!

Only good thing about this place is the cake.The service here is absolutely terrible because of this one staff member (presumably the manager) who has too much attitude and is clearly looking down on customers and stereotyping them.Came here on two separate occasions so I know this isn’t just a one time experience. The same worker gave attitude towards me and my friend, treating us as if we were idiots and had the nerve to even lecture and scold us when we asked to get the four cake offer. Every time we come here we leave feeling upset due to the interaction. Would recommend going to the Oxford street or white city branch for better customer service.

Wife wanted to try this place after seeing the pictures of the cakes online .. well that’s where they should remain .. the cakes weren’t fresh as they we very cold (I know they are kept in the display fridge until sold) .. it was like they were mass produced and then frozen until sold ..In all honestly it was edible but wasn’t as flavourful as other red velvet cakes .. Costco red velvet is better, in my humble opinion..For a slither of cake, a can of coke and a bottle of water cost £8.20 .. rather expensive for what it is ..The food was from the stall they had near the food court not the actual restaurant ..I’ll give this a miss next time ..

5 pounds for an expresso totally watered and with a disgraceful taste to dirt and ear wax. If you are asking for this price in a cafe, at least serve anything decent. A total scam

We came here for breakfast and sat in the outside area. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered a couple of lattes and a cranberry juice. The latte was great. And for food we had a garden breakfast and blueberry pancakes. Both were lovely and at a fair price.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner in their outside seating. Service was very good, and it felt safe as it was fairly spacious in their outdoor seating area. I'd had their cakes before but I didn't realise they had a full food menu also with good variety, so was able to enjoy dinner followed by cake and tea. :)

We sat outside in the covered heated area which was nice. Service was average. The coffee was great. The Salmon Nicoise Salad was pretty good but had too much olive oil. Would probably go back if I was at the mall again, as a solid option to escape the crowds, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit for just this place.
