The ambience was pretty great. After having sampled calamari and a portion of chips the day before, I decided to get my family along. However... The food turned out to be pretty sub-par and that too after waiting an hour for it to be served. The burger I ordered was dry and without any dressing; I have had way better experiences at fast food joints as far as the food was concerned. And the service was abysmal. The waiters seem to avoid eye contact just so that they won't be bothered.

If you like mediocre food than this is the place to come. Staff are friendly, clean toilets, beer is a little overpriced but overall okay for a drink in my opinion.

Amazing place to stay (kids and dogs welcome - well behaved ones 😅) the design of the interior makes you stay and eat more (and also read a good book but that’s just me haha) There are spaces to stay outside when there is such a nice sunny day as today. The staff is very nice and helpful. There is a decent size parking available.

Came here for a birthday meal. Felt sorry for staff, as it was immediately obvious there weren't enough of them.We started off by awkwardly waiting around in the foyer for 15 minutes because our pre-booked table wasn't ready. All of our food was ordered in advance but we were sat at our table for an hour and 15 minutes before one of us chased it up. We were told the food was in the process of being plated but we still ended up waiting another 15 minutes before any arrived. The food was pretty average and some people's (mine not included) came out stone cold. We did mention this to our waitress, who didn't seem to know how to deal with it and just smiled and walked off. Most people seemed OK with their main course - I got the steak of the day but I must've come in on a bad day, because it was absolutely awful.Pudding was fine. By this point I had been sat down for over 3 hours with my girlfriend's family and had lost the will to live.Really, it was a 1* experience but as mentioned, they were obviously under staffed and I felt sorry for them.Nevermind.

Went here for a dinner on January 26th. Ordered the small portion of Cod and chips and a Chicken Kiev. Food was alright asides from peas being a bit undercooked and hard as a result of it.The staff was very helpful and polite. We believe that they were understaffed that evening because the waitress was in quite a rush and it seemed like she was in charge of all the restaurant tables. Despite that, she did a great job and managed to keep up with the standards of the restaurant and keep everything in order.

Lovely pub to visit. Food is good but the menu is limited and if you visit the pub every week like we do, a bit of variety would be appreciated. However, the food is good and the staff are lovely.

Not had a bad meal here yet, food was lovely, good choice, service has always been friendly and professional, pricing is a little bit above average but you get what you pay for. This restaurant offers quality food with beautiful surroundings, has a car park and a nice outdoor area. Highly recommend the mussels and fish dishes.

We were a party of four that booked a lunchtime table. However, after choosing from the menu supplied we were told there is no 'Spaghetti Seafood' dish, no salad and limited vegetables. The waitress said they are having to keep some produce available for other bookings which I took to mean larger parties!!!!. I myself, ordered traditional fish and chips, but was disappointed at the poor quality of the fish cooked in old fat which gave me a stomach ache for sometime. I appreciate the restaurant industry is struggling due to the 'Covid-19' crisis, but this restaurant has a farm shop in the grounds which sells all types of salad & vegetables!! Me and my wife visit the farm barn very frequently to have a drink or two, but this was the first time we have eaten there for a very long time.

A wonderful location and building let down by no ale on tap and a lack of bottled ale, so many dishes were unavailable from the menu. They are next to a farm shop, surely they could nip across and purchase some fresh ingredients? Bottled ale could be purchased from Sainsbury, 5mins by car up the road! They are also tied to a brewery that's only 25 miles away. Such a shame as the ambience was good and the staff were friendly and polite.

First time here, don't know why I've never popped in before. Had a great lunch! Food was served nice, hot and with great service.Good menu offering tasty, exciting vegetarian options, quite a rarity for pubs in this area.
