I’ve never felt so humiliated walking into a restaurant as a mum with children!! Walked in today with my sister and my daughter. Both me and my sister had pushchairs. I left one pushchair at the back of the restaurant to then be seated somewhere having to put my child in a car seat on the floor as she isn’t big enough for high chair. Two members of staff both male then were whispering about the fact we had brought our children into the restaurant - the manager (a lady) offered to move us and was very nice. In the end we didn’t even order a thing and left. The guy was following us round the restaurant, just intimidating really. Awful. Not child friendly in here at all I’ve never been so humiliated and embarrassed. The staff were awful! Especially the man with the goatee and baggy jeans!!! Rude. Really put me off pizza express

Average food. Long wait to be served despite being about 30% capacity. Asked waitress when we might be served, she pointed and said he's just over there and will be with your shortly. Our waiter was chatting with other waiters and looking at his phone.Poor service. We got served by the manager in the end after complaining about being ignored. (we're not complainers).

The food was horrible. Waiter needed to be asked multiple times for the order as he forgot about us, spoke to the manager who didn't seem to really understand English properly! Useless!!

We really enjoyed the pizzas and dough balls. Didn't rate the pasta was an awful taste. Apparently that has fennel seeds in it. But honestly it wasn't the nicest thing to taste. Slower service took a while to get bill other than that all good. Clean toilets, friendly staff. Children friendly.

We've had my daughter's birthday party at Pizza express Plaza, and was amazed by our party host Clare and the whole experience. Everything went so smoothly, children had a great fun making their own pizzas and later eating them, no hassle to me as a parent and a brilliant price for the party. 5 stars all over 👌

After a considerable wait I had to ask someone if they were going to take our order. Someone did eventually turn up. No the restaurant was not full. Staff were moody. Food was mediocre at best. And why it takes 20 minutes to open a bottle of beer and walk it 5 meters to my table I’ll never know. Needs a serious reshuffle because it’s not working at the moment.

Surprisingly good food, nice customer service. No troubles. They don't charge service charge so It's nice to know that my tip is going to the waitress pocket.

Pizza express is great as always, but the staff here were especially pleasant and the service efficient. The pizzas & sides top-notch.

We as a family love Pizza Express so often choose it for a lunch out. However we had a terrible experience today. It took the hosts 5 minutes to find a table we could sit at with a high chair (the restaurant was almost empty.) We sat down and our order was taken promptly and starters bought out, but then we waited 40 minutes for our main. We had 3 children (9, 5 and 1) with us and they were obviously getting irritable waiting for the food. During this time we saw about 8 waiters just standing around having a chat to each other - no offer of more drinks or an apology for the time our food was taking. When the food finally did arrive, my one year old was served a bowl of pasta that I would say resembled lava. Even after blowing on it for her for several minutes, she burnt her mouth on the first bite and was then scared to eat anymore so went hungry. This was ordered off the kids menu so in my eyes is unacceptable to be served to a child at this temperature. We were so desperate to leave by this point that we asked for our bill straight away, only to be told that there was no internet so we couldn’t pay by card and had to go and get cash. If we had been told this earlier on, my partner or I could have left to go and get cash at another point but instead this meant another 10 minutes of sitting around for the children.Overall a very disappointing experience and we shan’t be returning.
