After visiting this place quite a few times in the last 8 or 9 years things have definitely changed, The woman who was on the front desk was just plain rude, when I asked why they are still doing table service (which it doesn't tell you on the website) I was told "it's not because of covid, it's what we do" before she turned on her heels and walked off, so your not allowed to the bar although it has a rather large sign telling you where it is and to top it off no Sunday roast. The food was OK but not what we was hoping, with the exception of the lady I previously mentioned the staff were happy and really nice and it's a good place if your a dog person, but I'm not sure that will be enough for us to return any time soon.

Food is pretty good if you like classic British cuisine but the room is extremely noisy, it lacks some acoustic treatment making it very uncomfortable. If you want a relaxing chat with someone don’t go there!

It's a cosy place with reasonable respectable prices. However I did once spill a vodka on my wife, which was primarily due to me having more drinks than usual which could have been driven by the reasonable prices. I gift and a curse, amen.

The restaurant is set in a picturesque location aroumd a lake and fountain. I meet my sister here with her family and mine and the meals were very good quality standard and full filling. Good assortment of starters , main and puddings. Place kept very clean and staff helpful. Would definitely revisit again plus a good selection of beers.

This place is stunning, the decor and location is fantastic with plenty of parking and ample indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable and the food was excellent quality so in retrospect the price for what you get is a great deal. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful and service was timely. I can't give them 5 stars as the restaurant was fairly empty but despite this we were seated by the toilets, next to a couple with a crying baby and the booth was quite drafty as well. A little extra thought and we could have been seated in a better area.P. S. I have no issue with babies in restaurants and totally understand they will get fussy on occasion it just made it hard to talk at times so it wasn't a 5 ear experience, we could have easily been seated away from them as most of the restaurant was empty throughout our visit. I would still 100% recommend this place for casual drinks or full dining experience.

Become my go-to place to eat when I’m in the area. Great location and a good selection of well priced quality food.Staff are great, very welcoming and helpful.Recommend the fish and chips or the roast chicken and a pint of Bear Island IPA !

What a lovely little gem of a place!Staying locally for a father/son night away and needed somewhere to eat that was not the hotel we found this was a nice little walk away (ignore Google maps and use the footpaths through the industrial estate). Tasty selection of food, well presented and great portion sizes. Good selection of drinks too.Son was a little bit disappointed that you had run out of brownies and didn't fancy anything else so we skipped dessert. Will be back if I'm in the area again for business or pleasure.

Im not usually impressed with Shepherd Neame, but The Wharf is such a great pub. Really improved here since the renovations. The food is better now too and the beers are really well kept. The views are as always, beautiful, overlooking the lake. Definitely worth a visit.

Hidden gem! We picked this place as it is dog friendly in the bar area. Decoration is lovely and comfortable, food was so yummy and looked amazing! Would recommend recommend would 100% go back. If you do take your furry friend there is outdoor seating and a nice walk around the lake to help your full stomach!

Beautiful place, food is amazing, but unfortunately the table service was poor. Was a bit slow plus oour waiter threw away my hardly eaten burger and 2 bowls of chips when we asked him to go wrap it up so we can take it home, instead he went straight and chucked it in the bin. I don't wanna lie, i was gutted and they didn't even offer to replace my burger, instead they gave us a bowl of chips and some dessert (brownie fudge and icecream) but it was amazing though!! In his defence he did say he had poor hearing so i will give him that. This was my first time there after recommendations by a few friends who had been there too. So other than that, nice place to relax after work or evening out with family for some dinner. Menu is fine not much choice but you will find something for everyone.
