Great food with excellent wine selection. Quantity and quality of food provided good value for money! Wine menu has vegetarian and vegan options listed. Service was excellent - very friendly staff.

Very friendly welcome and no problems that we hadn't prebooked. Excellent food and so much that we couldn't manage a pudding. The staff are particularly charming.

We enjoyed an excellent three course set lunch here. The food was really good and very reasonably priced. We'll definitely come back if we're in the area again!

Sharon and her team catered for 13 us us celebrating my Dad's 90th birthday just before Christmas. We were presented with a private dining room on the first floor with a view of the sea. The meal was excellent, plenty of food for everyone. We were not rushed and were provided with helpful and friendly service. Would recommend this restaurant for any function, large or small as I know they would deliver. Keep up the good work...Thanks for an enjoyable experience and for bearing with us,Rob G and family....

Just had a delicious Sunday lunch here. Roast beef and veggie option both outstanding. Cooked to perfection with interesting and tasty vegetables. Delicious dessert too. Service was great and atmosphere welcoming. Highly recommended.

Little disappointed after so many people saying it's great. Service not brilliant, limited drinks menu, limited mains menu and limited dessert menu. Had a supposedly 10 oz sirloin steak but more like 6 oz. Didn't realize you have to ask for water on table. Finished drinks no body came to ask if we would like anymore.No staff asked if everything was ok until we were paying. Then seemed taken back when I told them it wasn't a great experience. And for the price I would have expected more from them.I usually give good tip wherever I go,But on this occasion I just couldn't do it. There's an old saying you get what you pay for but sadly this was not the case on this occasion.Please note this is only my wife and my opinions.This was are first visit to 81 Beach Street Deal. Unfortunately it will be are last.

We’ve been for both dinner and a Sunday lunch. The staff are attentive yet unobtrusive and the food us excellent. We’d like to see more vegan options but they were kind enough to do a special for us when we had lunch one Sunday. Highly recommended.

Popped in for the wife's birthday, nice place friendly staff and decent food Menu can change daily so please look online, but highly recommended, will visit again

Good meal on a Saturday evening.Food was fresh and well prepared but I did find the menu limited and with some unusual combinations.Highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert.We found the upstairs restaurant area a little warm and could have done with a bit more ventilation.Staff polite, attentive and professional.Definitely recommend booking in advance.Limited parking across the road.

Went for the lunch time meal which was excellent value at £11.95, albeit it with a £6 supplement for the steak. Steak was a bit over for me but chips were excellent and the size of roasties. Gravalax was lovely and plentiful.
