Staff great. Beer great. Atmosphere great. I can understand dogs not being allowed inside. The other 2 pubs I visited that day they were. But we weren't even allowed to sit with him outside on what may even have been the public high street.

Nice place, staff were friendly. Food was ok, nothing amazing. No pizza cutter to cut pizza just have to tear it apart with stake knives. Steak wed together than old boots. Generally very low average food. Tables are sticky and covered in the last peoples scum.

confusion by waiting staff gave wrap to next door table. wasnt sure of its contents so asked customer to open it. Once partly eaten it was clear it was for our table which meant a delay in a new one being served. My veggie salad was nice (the last one they had) and coconut kefir drink tasty.

Great place for a cheap pint and food ,staff very helpful, but better places to visit in the area if you like a nice atmosphere and are willing to pay a little bit more

Whilst the drinks are OK and the food good the place is a bit dirty and shabby. Tables were sticky and there was heavy dust buildup. Place needs a good clean and a refurb, that's all..

The best loos in town, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, obviously the chosen creche on a Saturday as there are not many places now that cater for kids and parents on a budget. High tramp count using the wash facilities but where else can the go..

Was staying locally. Decided to go here for some food. Place is a little run down. Your usual Wetherspoons. Service was a little slow at points but is was busy. Ordered the Rump steak. Not a bad meal for the price. Would go again. Staff are polite and very helpful.

Great service, friendly and food came quickly and hot. Atmosphere is very casual, reminded me of a Red Robin in Canada. Large space! A bit cluttered and messy tho, our booth was not very clean. Risotto was good, added chicken was dry. Burger was big, and we liked the regular addition of onion rings l, but no gluten free bun was problematic, and the bacon wasn’t fresh. Wide beer and drinks selection.

We were looking for good food here in Dover before we went to our room for the evening , we drove from London and were hungry, to catch the ferry the next day. The people are fantastic, the food is great, and the beer was tasty! I recommend coming in and relaxing in a great place.

We were enjoying Dover on an unscheduled stop on our cruise ship, and while wondering downtown we came upon The Eight Bells. Glad we stopped in. Though they had run out of fish and chips...over 2000 unexpected tourists does that lol...the lamb was brilliant, and I can never turn down a pint. The pub had a great atmosphere and the staff were great.
