Castle Take-Away in Dover

The staff are nice and friendly but the food is just average. Though the coating is crispy, it went off from the fillet very easily.

Always lovely fresh food! The cod is the best in Dover. Wouldn't go anywhere else for fish and chips! Staff are friendly too.

Best fish and chip shop in Dover by my opinion, good family business serving people of Dover for more than 50yrs .

Chips have a lovely crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Service very friendly. Price probably the current standard....the days of fish and chips for a fiver have long gone, but the price justifies the quality and overall experience.

Beautiful fish will definitely be back again...was mislead by the recent 1 star reviews the fish size was more than adequate for 3 hungry adults! Nice shop nice staff!!

fisrt time to this fish and chips shop and looks great very clean and tidy very new shop friendly staff.Food wise well a good taste on the fish butter chips well good but no that tastyPrice wise i think is over price for the size of the portion.Do i recommend well looks like the only one in that area. So yesDo i visiting again no really i think the price for me pull me out that's why i give 3 stars

Best batter I’ve had in a long time. The fish is fresh and of high quality. It’s currently take away only. Definitely recommended if you’re in Diver’s area and fancy a traditional fish and chips.

Clean, tasty food and very friendly staff.We visited this fish and chips shop whilst in Dover. The staff greeted us and we felt very welcomed.The fish menu is quite well and we ended up being recommended the cod.We had a large cod and chips and a battered sausage and chips.The fish and battered sausage was really tasty. We would recommend this place to everyone.The chips could be improved but in general was a really good experience.

Oh my goodness. What a find. I had the best fish and chips I've ever had here tonight. Seats; while limited, are available to eat in which is handy or on the street if you'd prefer. Might I also add that the staff serving where polite and friendly. There seemed to be a steady stream of regular customers too which was very nice to see.
