Costa Coffee in Dover

Unpleasant experience at Dover, St James's. We have previously taken our dog inside as on the door there used to be a sign to say dogs allowed. Today I was approached by a member of staff who informed me only assistance dogs were allowed inside. My dog is well behaved and settled on the floor. I pointed out that there was no shaded area outside (in full hot sun with no umbrellas), she replied "I know". I have previously read Costas dog friendly policy and showed it to her, but was informed that was a different Costa... I asked her to pass on my view as there is inconsistency between branches. I felt embarrassed and just to add to the experience had to clear a table to sit down... It seems Costa quite happy to profit but not an experience I want to repeat... Also would be good to have dog water bowls outside, which policy states.

Amazing coffee and well done, awesome worker named Derick is amazing at his job and so welcoming. Amazing place and always good vibes.

Like all Costa Coffee it was quick service with polite friendly banter. The store is easy to access and is always clean and presentable.

Really nice staff and the usual great beverages and confectionarys, plenty of seating and located in a decent shopping park so plenty of parking too.

Wow, great value coffee medium for £1.75 huge cup last you all day!

Takes too long, slow staff plus short measures, apparently company policy???? This coffee shop would not survive a day in London.

Great coffee as you would expect but as it's iuo of the way, it's quieter, which is lovely. Very friendly staff too

A good range of hot drinks and cold snacks. A nice place to meet up with friends or enjoy a quiet drink.

Good coffee and spacious seating areas including outdoor seating too
