Dunkerley's Restaurant in Dover

Myself and my partner stayed here on 17th December 2021 and I booked the sea view room as a suprise. We'll even tho it was cold and raining it all looked beautiful outside....maybe it was the Xmas spirit 🤣 . It was £90 for the night and breakfast was included. I love dunkleys and will always stay here when we have a function on in deal.I stayed the night on the 25th March 2022. I booked the single standard double and my god I got more than I bargained for. The room was massive and I'm sure it was king-sized. The room came with a Seaview absolutely beautiful. The best of all was the bath was also a jacuzzi brilliant and the price of it was £60 for the night including breakfast I couldn't have.asked for more really and again the staff were lovely.

Exceptionally good food, the staff were fantastic (shout out to Dan for joining in with some friendly banter from the table) and helped make my dad's 81st birthday party a great occasion. The scallops for starters were excellent, as was the duck ...

5 star service, five star food , Thats what I have given here , my wife and I booked a late restaurant reservation here half hour later we arrived, my wife and I ordered the king scallops as a starter, absolutely fantastic, and then she ordered a fillet steak which also was amazing ( her words not mine ) I ordered the whole lobster with salad and chips, which wasn't on the restaurant menu but it was on the bistro special board ( I was pushing my luck ) but the young lady said it was OK, and it was cooked to perfection, and I even had others in the restaurant come over and said they were jealous that I was able to order the lobster so thanks to all the staff who are very friendly and professional for making our meals that little bit more special, we both highly recommend eating here

Our meal was outstanding .Scallops to die for, they melted in your 👄 Each dish was beautiful crafted on our plates and tasted gorgeous. Perfect for special meal which is why we attended Ross birthday . The bar has a menu that is more reasonably priced..Highly recommended this restaurant service was very efficient too.....

My family eats here on a regular basis and has done so for over 20 years. I can honestly say that we've never had a bad meal. Great location, excellent food, fantastic value for money and outstanding staff. Bar food, restaurant or just a drink, I can happily recommend Dunkerleys without hesitation.

Revisited twice since first reviewed and food was average.Best stick to the fish dishes when dining here.....Good well located restaurant and hotel.Not stayed here but used the restaurant for the first time Christmas eve, as you can imagine it was very busy but service was friendly, prompt and attentive.We ordered mussels and scallops to start, mussels were good but scallops were a little bit under cooked for my partner's liking so was returned. Staff quickly apologise offered a replacement and took them off the bill.For the main we had Dover sole and hake both were cook perfectly and delicious served with seasonal vegetables. Good selection of wines and lagers. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Not a bad little place, room was of a decent size and quality for the money, which incidentally was good compared to some other establishments locally. Breakfast was nice and the staff were helpful. In a very good location right on the seafront and near the centre of town. No local parking, so you have to book into one of the relatively inexpensive paying car parks. Would stay there again.

We were very happy with our room,very clean and comfortable.We had a meal inthe al la carte restaurant food was absolutely delicious.All the staff were very friendly and professional.Even Ian the janitor !All the flowers around were beautiful too.Highly recommend

Delicious scampi and chips. Lovely outdoor seating area with a sea view. The reason for the 3 star review is the really slow service. We waited half an hour for our drinks to arrive. Staff were friendly and apologetic but things seemed rather disorganised.

Food was perfectly cooked, piping hot. I had Dover sole and fries and my husband had the fish and chips. We sat outside as we had our dog and the waiter brought her a bowl of water. He was helpful and friendly. Food was cooked with love. I just adore Dover sole and I am so glad I chose it. It was a large piece and also full of roe which I have never had in a sole before.
