Frog And Scot in Dover

After reading positive reviews on the restaurant, we had been looking forward to our meal and to a pleasant evening. While the food and atmosphere at the time were lovely, we waited over an hour for our mains.Within a few hours of leaving the restaurant, I developed quite violent food poisoning which only resolved after voiding my body of the contents of my meal. When I contacted the restaurant to let them know, the Frog and Scot did not apologise but responded to ‘reassure’ me of the quality of their product and cooking process.This was not what I would have expected from choosing to dine at the Frog and Scot.

We've just had a super meal. The food, drink and service were outstanding. Our waitress who has only been here for 2 weeks was fabulous.

Great service and beautiful food. The waiter was excellent with recommendations and knowledge of the menu.Gutted there wasn't a Fillet Steak but the sirloin was almost as good.

Amazing food. This is the stand out restaurant I'm Deal for me, better than the Rose. If they have the lamb shoulder then you are in for a treat.

Dog friendly - service was excellent, food good. Had lunch specials on offer (bavette steak and mussels).Would visit again

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. We will be back ;-)Edit Sept/2021, I went back, twice recently, but I thing they overcharge: 2 x 3 courses + 1 bottle of wine (one of the cheapest) = £160. This is too much.

I echo another reviewers post, wish I’d read his and took heed. Overpriced, tiny portions, absolutely mental to charge £17 for a tiny piece of cauliflower steak that’s mostly stalk and no sides. Had to wait an hour for this so I took this photo after a couple bites because I was so hungry, but this is what £17 gets is insane. Have to find another restaurant now, still hungry. My wife had decent fish, but the cauliflower steak was unfortunately a massive disappointment.

Great environment and the staff is nice has well.Good food with reasonable prices.Everything is fresh and made on the moment.
