This is absolutely my new favourite restaurant. The atmosphere, service and the food was exceptional. Cannot recommend highly enough and can’t wait to go back. It will be hard not to choose the same dishes as they were so delicious (creamy garlic mushrooms, cod with pancetta and sticky toffee pudding) but every dish coming out of the kitchen looked glorious so I will have to try them all.

Meal took 45 minutes to arrive even though we were first people to order and it wasn't busy. One meal had an item listed on the menu missing and a wrong item served, think the chef must have been on holiday as last time visited everything was good.

We just had a lovely dinner at the George & Dragon. All dishes tasted deliciously fresh. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Definitely a place we recommend to visit.

A group of eight enjoyed a really excellent meal at the George and Drago today. The service was also excellent, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The variety of food was a real plus, and it was all fresh and well cooked. Sadly, none of us were able to squeeze in a desert, but they looked fantastic.Highly recommended. It may be tucked away, but that just puts it in the league of “hidden gems”.

Very quaint, traditional old school pub with lovely, smiley, helpful staff. First time visiting a few days ago, would definitely go back. Food was amazing, you'd be happy if you'd paid twice the amount in an upmarket restaurant.

Sunday lunch. Couldn't eat the roast beef at all. Couldn't even cut it to eat. The staff excellent. The rest of the meal excellent. Did not complain as we were guests. If the beef was edible it would have been five stars.

The simple exterior hides the lovely mixture of old and new interior. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food beautifully cooked. I only wished we lived closer.

Oh wow what a beautiful place to meet and eat. The staff were so polite and friendly and they made you feel totally welcome. It had a log burning fire which was a really welcomed part of our visit. The food was superb, fresh, hot and looked to nice to eat all home cooking aswell which was a bonus. They was doing 1 course for £12, 2 courses for £14, & 3 courses for £17 a really good deal & well worth the visitWe were little piglets on this visit. We had the Pate, the Soup of the day & the Mushrooms for starters. Sorry no pictures tucked in to quick. For mains we had, the Halibut, the Forerib, & the Pie of the day.For the Deserts we had, Red Velvet Cheesecake & Lemon CheesecakePlease give this beautiful place a call and book we felt totally comfortable and safe especially with the present circumstances

A warm welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. There was a very cheery vibe. The food was delicious and the menu consisted of upmarket traditional pub food.Went with family of 8 and there was something for everyone. Am definitely returning!
