Great pub, very old. Amiable landlord with, great sense of humour. Unfortunately no chef = no food (other options were offered) looking forward to a Sunday roast.🙁

A lovely local pub in Kingsdown. Has traditional English charm offering a good array of larger and ales. Good selection of gins and wine too. Food was excellent especially the crumble dessert. Bar takes cash or card so no problem there. Parking could be an issue if you drive but walking or cycling and you'll be fine.

Lovely staff with a warm welcome and the food was excellent, will go back again. 😀

Had a couple of meals here over the past few weeks. Food is very good and sensibly priced, the staff are very friendly and efficient and the service is great.

It always amazes me when you walk into a 'free house' and see Carling on the bar; so the owner has actually 'chosen' to sell it - I'll never get over that. The pub is situated in the middle of Kingsdown village - a near chocolate box scene. We didn't eat here, but the Sunday Lunch looked really good. The beer garden was a bit like sitting in Steptoe's yard, but sort that out and you would have the quintessential English village pub.

The Kings Head in Kingsdown is a great “proper pub”! Lovely staff and tasty food at a good price. A regular location for Sunday lunch. Had a mixed roast today and wasn’t disappointed. Highly recommended!!

Very friendly staff! Me and my boyfriend tried a new cider (see picture) and it was really tasty (sweet but not too sweet). I tried the scampis, it was fried and very nice. The scampis were served with chips and a fresh side salad. The place looks really cute. The dessert was amazing! I had a Belgium Waffle topped with ice cream. The waffle was served warm and tasted amazing with the ice cream.

Me and my girlfriend visited this restaurant at the last day of our vacation.It's been the best one out of all our restaurant visits in the past two weeks.Great prices and even better dishes!The chicken burger was well prepared as well as the delicious brownie fudge cake.Very welcoming and gentle staff (both the bartender and especially the waiter Henry!).

A nice traditional pub, friendly landlord, nice staff, excellent chef. Good atmosphere. Food for our buffet very good indeed. Looks like much of it done in house. Only one niggle. Need to get a plate warmer! Cold plates not good. Probably does not affect individual meals though. On the whole a nice pub to visit and good place to eat.
