Great place by the sea. The wait staff were all very attentive. The only comment I have is the food. It's not amazing and not that fresh. The boiled platter was very bland and the muscles were so tiny that it's not worth the effort.

Been here twice and absolutely love the place. The food is wonderful, the view is phenomenal, and the service is amazing. Huge shout out to Robin and Mike who were the sweetest and best servers we had. Especially Robin who put up with my random questions about the options as well as helping us break a 20 đ.If you are looking for something good to eat I recommend the Prawn Noodles. Itâs the perfect portion (not too much and not too little), very filling, and delish. I definitely reccomend ordering a side of vegetables to get your veggies in. đThe burger is the other item we tried. The meat was well cooked but due to the vegetables weird placement it caused the bun to be soggy by the time it was served. So I suggest sticking to the seafood main courses.Super big fan of the New Zealand Misty Cove wine. Goes very well with the baked Camembert. That cheese is amazing! Very nicely warmed to a melting point and they add some honey to make it slightly sweet.Personally wasnât a fan of the Quintero White wine from Spain but thatâs just a personal preference I feel as my boyfriend loved it.If you are looking for an amazing dessert you honestly canât go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite item on the list is the cream brĂ»lĂ©e đ€€. If you are a chocolate fan then the brownie with vanilla ice cream is a must. It is beyond soft and warm making the mix with cold ice cream an amazing combination.Alternatively, if you want something light but sweet I loved the Lemon Tart. It was the right amount sweet/sour but didnât leave me feeling beyond full.Seating in the restaurant is difficult because everyone wants the window seat and they are always reserved. Therefore make sure to make a reservation if that is what you want. Otherwise I recommend the upper seats as they have a wonderful view of the entire restaurant and the water view. Especially fun if you like people watching đ.Overall, I highly reccomend this place.

Visited for the first time on Saturday and the first impression was if it was an effort for the manager to show us to the table, said to waitress put them on table 1 , not please show guests to table 1. Food was brilliant but there was no after service, not even asking if everything was OK! I saw one of the young waitresses on her mobile phone by the desk laughing with her colleague joining in! My partner has never not left a tip but after the poor experience it was not justified. Perfect location, such beautiful views was such a shame, hopefully they will learn from this

Went here for a date with my girlfriend. Entered around 6pm and the restaurant was pretty much empty. The staff were very nice and attentive, however rushed us a bit to quick to order our dishes. For starters I paid 9ÂŁ for Calamari. There were only 6 calamari on the plate, and these would fall apart after a bite. The quantity and quality for the price is ridiculous. Then to the main dish. I got Sea Bass with mixed vegetables. The Sea Bass was not caught locally or was fresh, to my disappointment (I asked the staff for verification). The display was very lackluster, and the food was decent (despite not having much to eat for the price). In the end, the staff are the only ones keeping the rating up as the food is very overpriced.

Todayâs special. The best chowder Iâve ever eaten. It has the intriguingly paradoxical quality of being refreshingly creamy! The fish chunks has the texture of a scallop!Main: veggie getting all the favour of salmon, perfectly cooked.A lemon tart, a large tea & stared at the port of Dover.

Thank you doesnât seem adequate to do justice to The Dover Patrol Restaurant team for the fantastic all round experience provided to us on Wednesday 15th September for our wedding breakfast. Our booking was made with ease, a very reasonably priced menu was effortlessly agreed, I handed over a table layout and the table was set up with care ready for us when we arrived, including unexpected but very useful guest name cards also saying what people had ordered. Additionally they set aside a large table, decorated with a beautiful flower arrangement, for our cake/gifts etc. I must mention the amazing view from this place, especially from the veranda. You can see the castle right round to the western fort, and as far as France if the weather is good. The service during our meal was excellent, polite, discreet and efficient and the food? The food⊠words cannot do it justice. The food was truly outstanding. Our starters were a choice of: mackerel pate/garlic mushrooms/prawn cocktail, mains were a choice of: fish & chips/chicken supreme/butternut squash risotto & wedding cake for dessert (provided by us), teas and coffees were included.I had the prawn cocktail and fish & chips. The prawn cocktail didnât look very big but looks can be deceptive! Masses of fat prawns in a flavourful slightly sweet freshly made sauce on fresh malted bread with a small salad. The fish and chips, the fish was outstandingly fresh, light, delicate, flaked at the slightest touch and wasnât greasy, the batter was also light and thin. The chips were clearly homemade and perfectly cooked. I didnât taste the other dishes but they looked equally delicious and I am assured they were.If youâre looking for delicious food, great service, a view to die for and a clean venue look no further, try this excellent restaurant out today.

On a day trip from London to hike white Cliffs of Dover. After a quick search we've chosen this place for our late lunch. We didn't have a booking but were given a lovely table with a view of a harbour. It was a bit too windy for al fresco dining which was also available. Before sitting down for our meal inside, we've had a cheeky pint of Whitstable brew in a pop up bar outside the restaurant. The barman was very nice and chatty, making everybody welcomed and comfortable. The staff in the restaurant was also very friendly, accommodating and efficient. We chose oysters, squid, crab salad and fish and chips. While fish and chips were one of the best I've ever had the starters were only ok.Squid was definitely overcooked and had way too much coating for my liking. Crab salad, decent size and nicely presented but bland and with too little 'green' to really call it a salad.Oysters were fresh and very tasty but had not been opened properly, with lots of chiped shells in the meat. All in all very pleasnt meal as the amazing fish and chips compensated for slight let down of the starters. To sum up, I would definitely recommend the place: very friendly staff, fresh produce and reasonable prices makes it perfect for unplanned lunch.

I visited this beautiful restaurant back in Oct 2019. It was just after a solo trip to Dover Castle, after a long but beautiful day. I was so amazed by the Dover Castle, and from the top of the hill I could see the beautiful sea front, that is when I decided to take a walk around the beach after I was done with the castle. It was a lovely afternoon leading to a lovely evening, as I was strolling around the beach and went to the far end of the pier. I was already quite hungry so I was looking for a nice place to eat and thanks to the Dover Patrol Restaurant I didn't have to look far. The restaurant is located right adjacent to the pier just by the sea, offering a spectacular view through the glass windows. I took a seat just by the window, and it was calm and quiet inside when I got there, with only an elderly couple enjoying their food. The Dover Patrol Restaurant was very tastefully decorated I remember. It had a great ambience, beautiful lighting hanging from the top, and the sea side of the restaurant was entirely glass walled, offering a majestic view of the sea round the clock. For me it was like a perfect ending of an otherwise overwhelming day. I ordered fish and chips with a starter and a side. The waiters were really well behaved I remember, and they were quick to serve the food. The food itself was delicious, and very good value for money as it was reasonably priced. I really enjoyed my meal accompanied by a great view of the sea with the setting sun welcoming the night. I went out with deep sense of satisfaction and a smile on my face, and the restaurant staff didn't forget to smile back. I'll remember this place for a long time, and wish to visit it if I ever visit beautiful Dover again.
