Absolutely inedible slop by far the worst Chinese takeaway in Dover and I've ever eaten. The women on the phone hung up twice when we asked the driver to return immediately to give us our 30 pound back they said we would have to go down there and get a refund absolute ripp off merchants food ended up in the bin and we paid for another elsewhere dodge this place with a barge pile

I've been here twice. The first experience was great, the second was terrible. Normally I'd give a place the benefit of the doubt and rate it somewhere in the middle. Maybe 2 or 3 stars, but that second experience was so dreadful there's no way I can give it more than 1 star.First visit: woman at the counter was friendly and I really enjoyed the food. They got my order wrong, but what I ended up with proved to be so nice that I didn't mind.Second visit: grumpy man behind the counter, to whom I seemed to be an inconvenience. I ordered the salt and chilli king prawns, which I'm aware should be salty, but these tasted of nothing but salt. I would have thought they added too much, but the Singapore noodles also tasted of pure salt. The sweet and sour chicken was okay, but any positives were outweighed by the indigestion and diarrhoea I had the next day.Dover has plenty of Chinese takeaways, so there's no need to go here.

Food was hot, but all elements we had chosen seem to be packed out with onion with minimal contents associated with the order and all sauces were sloppy. There was no clear instructions for the selection of 'Free' items that I could see using the Just Eat App. Well disappointed, paid nearly £75 for a meal for four and was not worth it at all, especially when the 'free gifts' issued were two containers of dry inedible chicken coated strips . Will not be going back for sure

Ordered from here three times now and have been pleased eachtime. I order the chicken and mushroom and plain rice and I love that the chicken is not just all gristle like from other places.. The service is fast and I have had no reason to complain so far.. The building doesn't look too decent but best Chinese in dover for takeaway I have found so far...

Well where do I start with the lotus house wow, I had to place my order 4 times to make sure that it had been ordered and that it was going to be delivered. The best part was it was a person who worked on the shop who took my order it was the delivery driver who spoke very little English he put the phone down on me and then after two attempts at placing order the delivery driver contacted me but still couldn't give me the price or time that it was going to be delivered. Then once it got to my house I plated up the food which was not hot so I had to microwave my meal to heat it up. My king prawn curry was extremely salty and the prawns where still raw. The curry sauce for my chips was like water instead of it being thick. The sweet and sour chicken balls was salty and raw so I ended up wasting most of the food. So after I wasted the food i contacted the lotus house to be told that the manager was on holiday. So no wonder why the food was disgusting and cold you could actually tell that none of the food was cooked fresh it was all warmed up in a microwave. the bloke down their was extremely rude and aggressive about it and does not care. I thought that the customer was always correct but obviously not. The standards of that shop is appalling and no wonder why the food was terrible no owner so no decent food. Won't be using that Chinese ever again. Just hope this meal hasn't cost me to have food poisoning. When I did ring to complain regarding the meal there was not even a offer of a fresh meal for the hassle.

Ordered this evening after a long day at work. In my order should have been 2 rice, 2 chicken chow mein, 2 sweet and sour chicken balls and Curry sauce. Despite the gentleman repeating the order back to me twice, I was delivered 2 rice, prawn chow mein, and what can only be described as lumps of carrot swimming in a gloopy red substance. I paid the correct money for the correct order, as I added it up from the menu.I called the restaurant back so they could rectify the problem only to be rudely told I would have to pay for the changes as it was my error. I recalculated, to confirm I had paid the correct money. When the delivery driver arrived, he said they were complimentary, and then asked me for the money. I refused to pay, and was handed an old mobile phone, and the man I had spoken to previously began to yell at me down it, telling me I owed him money. I put the phone down and shut the door. Still no curry sauce, or second chicken chow mein. By this point I had given up, so I picked the prawns out, and my daughter who has a severe seafood allergy just had to go without.I will not be using this takeaway again, and if you're reading this, please teach your delivery driver the meaning of complimentary!
