That's supposed to be a larger grilled cod , was never larger or grilled, fish felt like was steamed , paid £30 for a fish and a pint and Mrs fish finger and water, totally not worthy.

Took my husband this time. Got take away chips and fish goujons, sat on the seafront. By the time we,d found a seat and settled the food was still hot. Wonderful. Got served by the lads this time. They are just as competent. Very polite and helpful. It is spotless inside. They do great coffees aswell. When you say large, it is truly large.

The fish was tasty and the prawn cocktail had an amazing cocktail sauce. I was disappointed with the calamari and the chips. The calamari was bland, the batter was flaky falling off easily and tasted like eating rubber bands (I’ve had much tastier calamari). The chips were a hard texture, not soft from inside as I was expecting it to be. Chilled atmosphere and staff are lovely.

Service was good and staff were very friendly. No table available when we arrived, but they ensured we had one when others left.Didn't eat.food there other than deserts. Ice-cream was good, but the sponge cake was poor and took over half hour to come.Serves Starbucks and happy with that.

I take no pleasure in writing reviews that are not positive. As I ordered fish and chips my interaction with staff was not great. I overlooked this however as I was excited for my meal.Food was cooked in a reasonable time and it was both nicely packed and looked amazing.THAT was about it, chips wasn't fresh more than likely frozen with no flavour and somehow burnt.Fish consitit of mainly batter again no flavour. I was extremely disappointed as the price paid for was over £10 and was not worth the price. I would not go there again with my experience.

Stay away. Marco Pierre White awful. Frozen Frenh fries and chicken hammered so much and deep fried to a crisp. The most expensive portion of chips as the burger was inedible.Don't call yourself a fish and chip shop if you are using frozen products!

Not the cheapest but I love the fish and chips from here. Batter light and tasty without too much oil. Fish is fresh and meaty and the chips full of flavour. Coupled with the homemade tartare sauce and mushy peas you will not be disappointed.

Good chips, daughter found the calamari too greasy and lacking taste. The red onion in the tomato salad was very strong, would have been much better had they been soaked in water prior or even slightly pickled. Big mugs of tea and coffee which was nice

Service is extremely slow, we waited over an hour for fish and chips. The food was not worth the wait nor price, very basic fish and chips. There is no vegan option. The waitress did offer some discount for our inconvenience. I would advise that the management do something about the kitchen.

After a long hiking trip across the white cliffs we decided to have lunch locally before returning to London. Naturally we wanted an authentic fish and chip place. After a Google search we settled on Wheelers. The restaurant is lovely, clean and welcoming. Parking is available directly in front of the premises. We were greeted by friendly waitresses who took our orders of Haddock & Chips. It was by far the best fish & chips I've ever tasted. The fish was perfectly cooked, not greasy just golden brown with a light crunch. The chips were hand cut with the skin on, again not greasy and cooked to perfection. The homemade tartare sauce was divine as were the mushy peas. We were hugely impressed and will definitely come back!
