Plough and Harrow in Dover

This place has been cleaned up well since it was sold. You receive a warm welcome when you arrive and a couple of nice ciders on tap, as well as a selection of ales from Gadds. The food was standard pub food, but well cooked and served with a smile. Like most pubs at the moment the choices are limited due to trade being slow to pick up after covid, but it's nice to be able to eat out. The chocolate brownie with ice cream was lovely. We had no complaints about anything.The only thing missing was a bit of atmosphere, as the newly decorated bar is a bit clinical, but I'm sure that will change when it's been open a bit longer. I wish the owners the best of luck if they decide to keep it up.Please note this pub is no longer shepherds neame, it now serves decent beer.
