Rock Rose Dover in Dover

We chose Rock Rose for our son’s birthday celebration meal. The staff were extremely attentive and the food was served very quickly and cooked to perfection. We never felt pressured to leave our table after finishing our meal. All round excellent service.

Restaurant & toilet was clean & tidy.Staff were efficient, polite, helpful & very friendly. The food was excellent, tasty & well presented. In a relaxed & cordial atmosphere. One of our favourite places to eat locally.

Brilliant staff, amazing pub food which are big portions, taste amazing and for a really good price. They have a kids area too which is great for my children to play in while waiting for food. Outdoor play area too but it’s always been raining for us to use it.

Amazing service!Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Came over to check we were okay or needed anything. Quick service. Food was delicious and massive portions (I got the fish and chips) so much that I packed the rest to take home!Would definitely go back again!

My mum and I had a very enjoyable meal today.We both chose the Roast, which offered 2 portion sizes.Ideal for the young or very old...Sadie our waitress, was a super star , carrying my mums plate to our table, which she had difficulty with her walking stick. Sadie also was polite, kind and caring.A treasurer the team I hope appreciate.We were greater and shown yo our table by the manager ,served our drinks by an extremely polite young lad and served by a smiley chef.Our only criticism, was the overcooked beef.

Heard they had a new menu so decided to try it. There were a couple of new things so had one of those dishes.I had some brie bites to start.The new chicken burger with gravy and fries with side of onion rings. Everything was very nice, the foot was hot. The gravy was a bit runny so wasn't really good for dipping your chips in. They did forget my onion rings so I had to ask for those, but they came pretty quickly. Had a gin and Tonic too and the bill came to £27.50. Was too stuffed for a pudding.

Booked a table at 18.45 on a Sunday, with the sole intention of having a carvery. Was seated had a quick look at the menu and went to order. Queued at the till for people ordering carvery and as it was my turn the lady called to the till operator "no more carvery". "It finishes at 7".I wouldn't have minded if I had been told, or even if I could see it on the menu or website.The staff couldn't care less.

The main meals were great, however as we were so full we decided to go with the cake take out service. On the menu the carrot cake said served toffee sauce and cream and other members of our party have the chocolate cake which should have been served with cream. The cakes came without their accompaniments and when we asked they said we didn't ask for them. I pointed out the menu and showed what it said. They said they would look into it. 10 minutes later we asked again and they said they were getting it. Another long wait to be told they had no cream. Attitude was not good. Wont be eating there again. We were a family party of 11. Rock Rose your loss!!!

Popped in to save cooking after a tiring day. Nice friendly welcome. Ordered the carvery and wasn't asked if I had any allergies. Ordered a lime and soda and was given a pint glass full! Far too much cordial used and couldn't drink it all. Food could have been hotter but there was plenty of it. Veggies were very crisp and had to leave some of them. Shame as I hate to waste food. Yorkshire puddings were lovely.

Lovely food, quick service and the gentleman who checked us in noted that I was cold and changed our booked table to one he thought would be warmer which was very kind of him.We were asked wirh both starter and main if our food was OK which was good.Overall a very pleasant experience.Thank you
