The Blue Pigeons in Dover

Small yard and rear garden. Cat not very child friendly - kept walking away from kids. Having said that so would I. Overall it was a nice ambient environment. But not many people were in the pub Good Friday 2022. Good job really since a few more and we would have been crowded outside. The time we endured I would give 4 stars based on the prevailing environment. Low attendance. 3 stars reflect the small courtyard at the rear. On a warm sunny day it would get crowded and space limited , hence 3 stars prevail as an overall opinion. Very relaxing though.

Excellent food, service could be better. Price was very reasonable. Would still recommend eating there, nice atmosphere.😊😋👍

This is one of the best place we have stay the room was very nice with a 6ft bed the staff where so helpful 😀 and friendly, the food was the best we have had in a long time ,I would give them a 5 start 😀 for the food .and we will be going back soon .thank you for the best holiday we have had in a long time well don to all the staff.nigel and Julie

Wow - where to start! Thank you Blue Pigeons team SO much for making our wedding day so special! Everything from the months of planning, the build up and the day was incredible, and in such strange times too! We’ve received so many comments from people on how fantastic the Blue Pigeons is, as a venue and also for the amazing customer service. We knew we would be in safe hands with you but it really was a seamless day and we can’t thank you enough for that!We would highly recommend The Blue Pigeons not only for a fantastic, intimate, and thoughtful wedding venue but also for a great meal in a lovely countryside setting.

A great evening. The specials board provided us with our main courses. Solid starters and varied dessert selection. My wife and I didn't have a dessert (full up). Good drinks selection - mine was a large house red. Tables had plenty of separation space. Rapid table service. Ample parking. Reasonable prices (£55 for 2). Recommended.

Staff and food lovely but bar restaurant has no atmosphere, only wooden chairs to sit on, no cushioning. Garden rooms face the quad with outdoor seating. Lace curtains are the only cover for the large windows which lookout onto the quad with a table and chairs placed right by the window. Checked and body silhouettes visible when room light is on which made us very uncomfortable. Also absolutely no phone or WiFi signal from rooms.

We celebrated my sisters wedding this weekend and couldn't have asked for more attentive staff, there was nothing they couldn't help with. They were all extremely friendly and made you feel very relaxed. We stayed for 2 nights and our room was amazing and had everything you needed. The food was also extremely tasty, it was also our daughters birthday the last morning we was there and the chef made her a beautiful board with edible writing on it wishing her a happy birthday she was over the moon. Would highly recommend anyone to use this as a wedding venue.

An amazing find! We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable. We were supplied with tea, coffee and milk. The food in the restaurant was well presented and excellent. All the staff were very efficient, helpful and polite. We had B&B. The breakfast again was excellent.
