The Chance Inn in Dover

I love this little pub...a warm welcome awaits you, the food is fabulous and the garden is out of this world!!! Go and see for yourself. A village gem!

Love the Chance now. The place is impeccably clean and tidy, the rear garden is huge and has skittles and mini putt golf. Great selection of beers! The menu might look like a basic "pub grub" menu, which it mostly is, but the care and attention in preparation and extra details will leave you impressed and highly satisfied. The food is great!

Spur of the moment visit to this lovely pub on Father's Day and what a find. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in a bright, clean and friendly environment and would gladly visit it again if we are ever in the area. Would highly recommend not only the food but relaxed atmosphere.

Found the pub through Google search as we needed to kill time and get some food. What a find! Home made pie, tart and bread and butter pudding were real treat! Super friendly welcome. Defo getting a return visit!

Nice country pub with a great beer garden (incl. a little putting green and skittles). We missed lunch by a whisker but had a lovely pint in the afternoon sun.

Wonderful atmosphere and very helpful staff. A little "into rural Dover area" but well worth getting there. Great food.

What a super find!! I brought a friend here for a meal based on the other reviews. The Chance inn could be a new favorite!! We were warmly received and shown to our table. I took a chance on the soup of the day (curried parsnip) from our servers recommendation and it was amazing!! The burger I had for my main course was excellent. After all the gorgeous food we relaxed in front of the wood burner and passed some time with another drink. We never felt rushed and could have happily stayed longer. Highly recommended!! Excellent all round. Well done The Chance inn, we will be back.

Lovely, friendly staff and a Sunday lunch to rival my own, according to my husband. So I'm not cooking any more for him! We will definitely return 😃

The Chance Inn is a great place to have an evening meal and a cold beer. We have been going there for a few years now and they never disappoint. First you are greeted with a warm and friendly smile and you immediately feel at home. We have ordered several items off the menu and all dishes have been very tasty. Thumbs up on the vegetarian dishes as well. We'll be back! Oh, a dessert is a must....

Excellent tasty food, nice presented. Highly recommended. Reasonable price. Good selections of drinks. Polite friendly staff.
