Joined friends for a meal here a few weeks ago. Initial impressions were great. Reasonable parking, nice decor welcoming staff. I don't know if they were short staffed on that evening or not, but everything just seemed to take too long, with long waits between staff returning to us.The food itself was great, with some original dishes on the menu, along with a few old favourites to give everyone choice. Did not get to try their deserts due to long delay in clearing the table & then returning to see if we wanted anything (by which time it was gone 10:30pm and some folks had to be departing for early starts). Would happily recommend for the food & hope the service was just a lack of attention but it did spoil the evening a bit (and marked down rating by a star accordingly).

Lovely, local, homely, and friendly restaurant. The roast dinner was amazing. I sampled the trio of meats. I loved the dessert too. π Definitely go back and highly recommended.

Called into this pub on the way back from a walk round Sywell Country Park for a beer with my wife and son and his partner. His beer and we had their cheers board very good.

Went for sunday lunch for daughter's birthday, service was very slow, table not ready when we arrived had to wait for it to be relayed, each course was very slow to arrive, i dont like being rushed between courses but this was slow, food was good, but veg were very crunchy to say the least, had to ask for extra gravy as minimal on plates, puddings were very nice. So very much a mixed reaction from the other diners, dont think i would rush back. Sorry ππ

The food was stunning! Had the trio of meats roast and every part of it was outstanding 5 β The only reason they lose a star is because the service was slow unfortunately. However the food was great so I'll definitely be visiting again and may add a star if the service improves. Compliments to the chef!

Just had a delightful Sunday lunch at the Griffin ......3 people, combination of starters, 3 different main courses send 3 different desserts......all outstanding. Can't fault the portions or value for money. Very friendly and professional team.

Ate here recently with a friend. The food was tasty as was the beer. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. Would happily visit again

Had a meal from the Christmas menu, from start to finish we were treated fantastic, the staff were very polite and there appearance was very smart. The presentation of the food was amazing and the amount was very filling. 100% you must try this restaurant.

Really good food, would recommend. Dinner was amazing. Service a little disjointed when we returned for a lunch.
