The King's Arms Restaurant in Dover

Myself and a friend had a really bad experience with the food here. The baked prawns in tomato sauce with garlic was more like a tomato soup with prawns, far too much tomato sauce. We both ordered the beef roast and we couldn’t eat the meat as it was so dry. I probably wouldn’t eat here again.However the staff were lovely and I would come back for a drink.

Came for food, had jkt potato with beans and cheese and a sausage and onion baguette with chunky cheesey chips. Pub has a lovely, cosy atmosphere. And the food literally blew my mind!! I would definitely consider driving the 45 minute journey for this again!!

Stayed in church stretton for a few days, this is definitely the best pub. They made a big fuss of the dog, beer and wine were great quality and the food was delicious. Huge portions!!!The staff are the loveliest people.Go there!

Such a great pub. The servers are super friendly, the food is simple but good and the atmosphere is really nice. Proper country pub, great restaurant seating at the back, and proper bar/pub feel at the front. Dogs welcome

What a pub!We came here after a few hours hiking in the Valleys, and it didn't dissapoint.Coming from the city, its hard to find proper pub grub these days. We ordered pies and mash, and the portions are MASSIVE. Couldn't finish the plate due to it.Fresh ingredients, very flavourful, staff were great.Would definitely visit again.

Gorgeous pub that was brimming with chatting customers. We went on a Sunday afternoon for a meal after coming down from the long mynd and it was perfect. The meals are large (Id recommend the huge onions rings over anything else) and the staff were friendly and very happy to help with anything.

Lovely cosy pub with loads of character, we called in after a walk over Long Mynd and had a couple of pints of Green Monkey with a nice fresh pork pie and a scotch egg.

This is a gem of a place. The staff are very friendly and appear happy in there job. The service is of a high standard and the food order was very quick. The choice for vegetarians is the best in Church Stretton and of a very high quality.We will most definitely be coming here again when we next visitI wish I could give more stars.

Nice friendly ‘locals’ pub but with a welcoming atmosphere for all. Dog friendly. Nice beer. A proper pub! Didn’t get chance to try the food sadly. Would certainly recommend it for drinking only. Only loses a star because kitchen was closed on a Sunday evening around 6pm, when the sign outside said open for food til 9.

Delicious food .....only criticism is the portions are too large ( and I hate food waste). Please add a small portion to the menu - or the option to share!
