I've never had a bad experience here.My Husband and I booked an overnight stay here for our anniversary. The stay came with prosecco and breakfast as deal for £126.40. We also booked a table for dinner. We booked one of their deluxe rooms and I knew they had one with a terrace so I asked for that room so we could enjoy our bottle of prosecco outside. That bootle went pretty quick so we went and got another and some crispies. Very yummy. We changed and went down for our meal.We ordered a bottle of water and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. For food we had....Starters: Ham Hock Terrine and Salt and Pepper Squid.Mains: Rump of Lamb with a side of chips and Ribeye Steak with Garlic Butter.Dessert: Honeyed Figs and Panna cotta.Everything was super hot and tasty and as described on the menu.We had another bottle of water and 4 or 5 G&Ts.For Breakfast we had some juice each, a cafetiere of coffee and a pot of Tea. As usual my hubby had the full English and I had Eggs Royale (for a change) hubby swapped his eggs for some extra bacon and I asked for my eggs runny. Everything came that was meant to and it was super hot and the eggs were runny. Bonus! The room was lovely and spacious massive roll top bath. It was a bit odd that you couldn't just turn the loo light on, you had to turn the bathroom light on too and that is open plan with the bedroom. Bed was really comfy. They have a massive car park and a lovely outdoor terrace/beer garden which gets the sun for most of the day. This is a really nice place but doesn't come cheap. On top our our £126 already spent we spent a further £218! But you only celebrate your 8th anniversary once right?!?!

Really nice old pub with a modern twist. Fantastic food and service, our room was perfect with great radiators for winter and aircon for summer. Fully recommended.

Love coming to this restaurant. Stayed here overnight too before Christmas and the room and food was incredible for the price. The service is brilliant and the food is always delicious, thoroughly recommend!

Nice room and lovely friendly staff. They accideynt charged us twice for our stay but immediately admitted their mistake (before we had even realised!) and refunded us the extra. We were disappointed that the only coffee available with breakfast was a weak cafetiere brew, but it certainly didn't ruin our stay.

Beautiful heritage building, well maintained, very comfortable. Service and food were both excellent, hearty proportions yet delicately presented and super tasty. Would recommend.

A fabulous stay only for one night on our way to France but we thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place. A warm friendly greeting on arrival, great tasting food for Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast - all good freshly prepared food and all of a very high quality as were the Beers & Wine. Large room with a comfortable bed and fresh linens with a good bathroom & shower. We will definitely return.

Really lovely and friendly service. We were a group of 11 who pre ordered but they still allowed us to make a few amends on the day and all fuss free. Really lovely food, no complaints and all food eaten pretty quick! We felt very looked after and welcome and we'll definitely return if we are in the area again.
