The Old Lantern Inn in Dover

Lovely pub , the Sunday roast was great. Staff were busy but seem to find time to make you feel welcome. Stayed at campsite down the road 15 minute walk, we will be back.

An amazing country pub, beautiful interior and great & spacious garden. Very good selection of drinks and absolutely stunning pizzas!

Interesting pub in a small village with a lovely large outdoor seating area. Had Sunday lunch which was cooked perfectly and arrived hot. One of the best roasts I have eaten! Our waiter was friendly, polite and attentive. Highly recommend.

What a little gem the Lantern is. A friendly, cosy, welcoming hostelry, steeped in history and authentically refurbished. The staff and owners couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, the food is delicious and the bar really well stocked with local beers and a great selection of spirits. There is accommodation on site to stay in, the apartment has to be seen to be believed, it's stunning. I am so glad I found this delightful place.

The food was very nice, unfortunately there were mistakes and delays in the kitchen meaning one of our mains arrived when everyone else had finished. This would be understandable but we had to ask for amendments to the bill in order to compensate. There is a nice ambiance to the place and staff are friendly, just a shame that it seem a bit disorganised!

I and a friend visited this delightful inn for the first time last night. It was dark cold and very windy, but the welcome inside exceeded all my expectation's. It was tricky to find at first, but well worth the effort. This is one of the most charming inn's I have visited and the youthful team were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and I have no doubt I shall be visiting again more times.

Andy invited us to a special sushi night and blown away by the most delicious 5 course meal. Sushi was unbelievable, best I’ve had in a very long time. I hope they make this a regular event! Lovely atmosphere - definitely worth checking out 👌🏻

We have had the best weekend here. I'd booked the Yurt as a wedding anniversary stay and wow was it over and above what I expected! What a beautiful place, it has such a beautiful feel to it too. Everyone was so helpful they even rang to say about a band they had booked and just to let us know, in case we wanted to change x The Morrocan band were amazing and the Lantern run themed event evenings as well and wonderful food to complement the night. Very well priced too.We will definitely be back for the December one x we can highly recommend coming here, either for a drink and a meal or definitely to have a stay x

What a brilliant and warming atmosphere this pub has. I've been to many local lazy Sunday pubs in and around the area and I can hand on heart honestly say you will love this place. Friendly staff with a rustic farmhouse bar feel isn't to be taken for granted. I turned in for a roast and wasn't disappointed at all! Want food? Do it. What a quiet drink? Do it! Chat and friendly banter? Do it! An awesome place to eat, drink and chill any day of the week.

Lovely food. Incredible chicken burger. Squeezed an extra person in for us last minute which was lovely.
