Walmer Fish & Chips in Dover

Not cheap (but that's normal in these times) but the service was excellent from some lovely people beind the fryers. Food was very nice.

We have used Walmer fish and chip shop many times but today I had the haloumi for the first time …. What can I say? Sooo yummy! Super friendly family owned chippy … superb!!!

Good over all, clean nice staff. But prices have gone high £9.00 med cod and med. chips £2.00 27/03/2022

Yay Walmer fish and chips are back from their winter break, great to have gluten-free fish again, not had fish since they been away, still the same great flavour and the normal batter for my husband, yum yum

Just fantastic!Having read about this place I decided to give it a try (not local to me at all).All I can say is that it is worth travelling to and is good value for money.Location is just across the road from the beach (lots of benches beside the beach to sit at and enjoy your fish whilst watching the sea).The quality of the food id outstanding. Good size portion of fish covered in the most flavorsome crispy batter (well seasoned that is not at all greasy and very crispy) accompanied by chips that really tasted exceptional.

Lovely batter. The chips could have been cooked a little longer, slightly anaemic but still edible and tasted nice. The chips portion was a bit on the small side too but acceptable. Ate them by the sea which made it all even better.

Can't recommend this highly enough. Delicious fresh fish in crispy batter, lovely chips, good curry sauce. Also do an excellent pea fritter. All freshly cooked so it's piping hot. They also have an excellent gluten free range (almost everything can be had gluten free; they have a separate gluten free fryer). Great location to take it over the road to the beach and eat while watching the waves roll in. Friendly family run business. Best chippie I've known.

Lovely visit. Had read the reviews about gluten free fish but still needed to check in person. Very helpfully explained that they cook the GF batter separately with the chips, so we could enjoy the full fish & chips experience on the gloriously sunny seafront. Very tasty and worth seeking out
