🏠 Waterfront, Waterloo Cres, Dover CT17 9BP

"Wheeler's Fish & Chips is a very casual restaurant and takeaway concept by Marco Pierre White. Serving up traditional favourites like lightly battered, flaky cod and haddock to Moules Marinieres and Marco's renowned fish cake. We pride ourselves on using the best ingredients to serve the finest fish and chips around. We are located on Waterloo Crescent adjacent to the Best Western Marina Hotel Dover. We are open daily for lunch and dinner."

Shared calamari and a small haddock and chips with my partner. The calamari was very over cooked, chewy and rubbery. Not enjoyable to eat at all.The fish was good, moist. The chips however didn’t taste freshly fried, felt like it was coated in batter as well or just over cooked, not sure. The curry sauce was nice! A tomato based curry sauce that tasted more like what you get as a traditional curry rather than “fish and chips curry sauce”.Service was good

Great food with a good view of the beach. The Fisherman’s Lunch is a solid value option.

We had the £10 deal, fish chips mushy peas bread and butter with tea...food was lovely, fish was a good size... really enjoyed the meal...only criticism, the tables were cleared, But not wiped over leaving sticky residue!!!It's the attention to detail which makes the difference...We would definitely go again!!

Great fish and chips spot with an amazing view. Service and fast and prompt

So disappointing. Booked for dinner, nice venue, terrible service, tables not cleared despite only 2 groups in including mine.Food, just average Fish and Chips, nothing special and definitely not justifying the price. My kids burger looked like someone had already had a bite!Marco! When was the last time you were here. I’d be embarrassed to put my name to it.

It's been decorated up a bit more from the standard coffee shop it once was. It's no Starbucks though .. But does serve Starbucks coffee. Fish n chips is £10 in case you're wondering. It's a Marco Pierre White place so if you know anything about his other places, it's on par with those ..ie. generally rubbish and your paying more for his name (although I can't think why!) I just had basic coffee and cake which was fine and not outrageous in price. Service was good.

Had no idea this was a Marco Pierre White restaurant until I got there. Ordered a cod and chips for takeaway and it was very good and it came with all the accompaniments too: tartare sauce, mushy peas, mini jars of ketchup and sachets of mayo and vinegar. Amazing!

Chips were a little overcooked, didn't seem like real fish & chip shop chips? A little dry overall. The portion of fish, although ordered as a small - was really very small. It wasn't a bad experience, great atmosphere and amazing location, excellent service - just the food wasn't quite as good as expected.

That's supposed to be a larger grilled cod , was never larger or grilled, fish felt like was steamed , paid £30 for a fish and a pint and Mrs fish finger and water, totally not worthy.

The fish was tasty and the prawn cocktail had an amazing cocktail sauce. I was disappointed with the calamari and the chips. The calamari was bland, the batter was flaky falling off easily and tasted like eating rubber bands (I’ve had much tastier calamari). The chips were a hard texture, not soft from inside as I was expecting it to be. Chilled atmosphere and staff are lovely.
