Very cute little tea room. Drinks were good and the food selection looked good too. We only stopped here for a drink whilst on a walk.

Service v slow, and the lady kept forgetting what people ordered. Price for piece of lemon drizzle cake was a bit too much considering its size. The tea room itself was very nicely decorated and the hot food seemed to be very good, I did not try. Worth a visit for a traditional tea and cake setting.

I stopped by this afternoon for a take-away coconut milk Mocha. The young lad serving was cheerful, conversational and amusing. His description of what chocolate powder looks like on the inside of the lid when the drink is finished was perfectly funny! (Laughing face emoji!)Five star review!

Very early nice location with carpark next door, and coffee and cake good. Bit disappointed at cake choice, which we had, but other food looked very nice. Staff very pleasant.

It gets two stars because it was previously very good, so much so that we had been going for many years. This time we visited early April 2022 one Friday afternoon. There were no other customers in there and upon entering there was a scruffy teenage boy lounging on the counter eating a lollipop. His words were ‘go and sit anywhere over there and come and order when you want.’ He was too busy talking to his teenage girl friends to even want to serve us. A really disappointed show and unusual for here. This would have been a 3 or 4 star review because of the good previous experiences. However we wrote a courtesy email to the owner using the email address on their website, just to inform them of the poor first impression we received and how they could be losing customers, but we’ve had no reply! Ownership may have changed and we cannot see them being there in a few months if it stays like this, which is a shame as the setting and food has always been excellent previously.

Great little tea house opposite the Jane Austen’s House. Nice cream tea and environment. You can buy some local eggs and produce. Lovely ceiling with all the cups decor. Sandwiches and cream tea quite average. Outdoor seating area available. Order from the counter and free on street parking. We enjoyed our lunch here.

Had two BLT sandwiches. Cheapest bread possible. Cold fatty bacon. No tomatoes so had cucumber as a substitute, Served as Chunks not slices.I really think they need to quality control what they serve. Very disappointed.

Lovely little team room located in the center of Chawton Village with lovely decor. Food and drink was delicious. Parking nearby and WC facilities indoors.

A really great find. Very popular with the locals and understandably so! Cute cafe with a little shop with great little finds, an indoor and outdoor seating area and some very friendly staff. Well worth the wait for a table to enjoy a pot of tea and a (very generous) slice of delicious carrot cake 😋 Will definitely be back again soon!
