La Piazzetta in East Hampshire

Food was tasty and portions were good. Service was friendly.

In and out in twenty minutes, which was about nineteen minutes too long. Restaurant was busy, which seemed like a good sign … but we (table of two) were virtually stuck on the end of another table which was awkward and meant that we had to get up mid-eating to allow them to get out from their table. We both had Bolognese which arrived literally six minutes after ordering. Food was bland - not an authentic, tasty bolognese as you’d expect at a good Italian. The waiters were charging around everywhere, which was offputting … particularly the guy who served us black pepper at a million miles a minute. Disappointing from start to finish and definitely didn’t need the two hours on the parking ticket.

Had a wonderful meal here with friends. Simply cannot fault the food, it was absolutely delicious. I had the Caprese as a starter, faultless. Friends had Funghi al Gorgonzola could have eaten the gorgonzola cream on its own with bread...out of this world! Mains were Linguine Vongole and Penne Verdi, again absolutely delicious. We shared desserts of Tiramisu, Tartufu Limoncello and selection of cheeses! Way too much but scrummy. Along with bottle of wine amd half of wine it was £45 each. Really good value and will definitely be back!

Before our entire party had arrived we were asked if we had decided what we had wanted for our meal.The waitress then mistakenly took down our starters. One arrived extremely late with no apology, just panic over her face. I appreciate we’re all human and we all make mistakes, but taking responsibility as a waitress or restaurant is all part of the role.As for the food. Having raved about and thoroughly enjoyed all the food here prior to this review, I was gutted. The pizza was soggy and lacked any sort of flavour. The cheese fell off all the pizzas and I personally think the portobello mushroom starter was only the amazing thing we had.My favourite dish is usually pepperoni with extra chilli. I’ve been charged this evening for having extra nothing.I am so disappointed and will struggle to order from here again in the future.

Always a good choice for eating out, friendly service , very good food and sensible prices. Have been eating here and midhurst restaurant for years. Good job !

Chose this restaurant for our Valentines meal. Nobody informed us that there would only be a very limited menu for that night. We chose something that we wouldn’t have bothered with usually to try and make the best of it. Sadly the food was very disappointing and was lacking in flavour or flair. As we looked around the restaurant we could see and hear that most of the other diners were as unhappy as we were.

Superb place. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The selection makes choosing difficult. The kids meal was absolutely brilliant. Great value too, a really great walk in find.

The pizza caprino was delicious: goat's cheese, caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes... a taste of heaven.

Another excellent meal for the family. Delicious food and warm friendly service. Although I had an issue with my order for a rare fillet steak that was cooked medium well or worse. Showed the waitress and the response was instant and exemplary, she completely agreed, removed the plate and had the kitchen redo the dish from scratch and the result was perfection, totally delicious. The staff were extremely apologetic and gracious, hence 5 stars.

I'm soo lucky to have found this little gem. I've eat in a few restaurants in my hometown of Glasgow but I must admit I must say that one has just came into my top three best ever meals, fantastico with great attentive staff looking after you. If you are ever lucky enough to be in Petersfield it's a must try 👍💯
