River Kwai Restaurant in East Hampshire

Had a beer and a takeaway from here and I asked the owner to cook whatever he recommended. It was excellent! The two owners are really nice and friendly and the place itself is beautiful. I will return next time I'm in the area!

Same as last 30 years. Food good and very reasonably priced. Staff make you welcome and service is quick.

Went to the River Kwai for a friends Birthday. The food was excellent and so was the service. Will definately come again.

The River Kwai is always good. Friendly service. Good prices! Delicious dishes that taste just like the ones in Thailand. One of our favorite local spots.

Lovely evening, we asked for a selection of Main courses and starters (8 people) and it was wonderful, very tasty and very reasonably priced. All round good service.

We visited the restaurant today for lunch, as they are now open 12 to 2 in December.The food and service was excellent, however I was disappointed that we were the only customers.In this time of uncertainty, the restaurant has kindly opened lunchtimes for the Christmas season, but it would appear that the Alton residents are not supporting local eateries. Shame on us.

Great food, great atmosphere and great prices! First time I've been here, but we really enjoyed it as a family! And we'll definitely be back again in the future! The chairs and tables are spaced out adequately which I like so we're not too close to anyone else! Staff are very friendly and polite!

Pretty authentic Thai cuisine. Living in Thailand, I never expect too much when going to a Thai restaurant in the UK, and hardly ever do so.The River Kwai Restaurant in Alton was a pleasant surprise when I took my nephew there for a meal. The Thai meal I enjoyed was very well cooked by the Thai staff there. As expected, it was not as spicy as I'm used to, but additional 'prik nam pla' made it just right.Plenty of seating inside (quite close together), good, friendly service and reasonably priced, I would certainly return here for another meal.
