Friendly service. Well kept beer. Had a couple of Cornish ales. Tribute and Proper job.. Sadly quiet compared to earlier times. It would be great to see more locals supporting local pubs. Shifting the high tax from the pub to store bought alcohol would help.

Nice local with a great location. Dog friendly

Nice old pub but there were children running around shouting and playing, nice to see kids happy but not what you go to a country pub for. Also they had actually run out off beer!!!!!! Never experienced that in a pub before but it had to happen one day 😉

Hi pub was closed (which I did not know when I arrived) I want to complain about the selfish use of ANPR. Couldn't park here despite it being empty.

Nice place to go to with you mates or your friends or family to get a drink or something to eat

The staff were great and that's where it ended. The food was very disappointing. Burger tasted ok but the presentation was poor as the salad was missing and so was the relish ! The pie came with instant mash and cabbage the rest of the vegetables were missing. It's as if the kitchen did not have all the ingredients. We will not be returning.

Great food the new carvery on Sunday is lovely. Good price too. Definitely one of the best we've had in a while. Staff really friendly and the atmosphere is great. Would highly recommend going back very soon! 👍😀

Literally the worst meal I have had out in ages, 10 adult meals and 3 children’s meal and they were all awful, food was just terrible, couldn’t even eat the veg to my roast as it was that bad. They only had 2 choices of larger on tap all the other larger was out of stock and they run out of white wine. Would not recommend to come here for food or drink

Lovely pub, bit crowded when band's are live but it's an old pub and that's the way it's built so live with it, Abbi is an amazing barmaid, so helpful and polite. Lovely pub, great Atmosphere and great food

Due to covid 19 I have only managed to go to the ship and Bell twice in the last couple of years and both times we have been told the pumps are off as we have no gas, all we have is bottles and lager, so, no guiness or pride, I'm nearly 40 and have been to many pubs and I have only ever had thus issue twice, both times in this pub. You may as well close, surly it won't be long anyway if you can't even poor a pint
