Nice pub with more of a classy feel in a nice area with 2-3 bar & seating areas wrapped around central bar, smallish car park. We went there for a funeral reception recently, so there were quite a few of us so relatively busy, I didn't like that every time I went to the bar, I was completely ignored & none of the staff recognized I was waiting or wanting to be served, not even acknowledged, even when there were No customers on one side of the bar, they just busily bypassed me.Only when I returned my glass through a collection hatch, I got a glance. There was a man at a coffee machine who'd taken lots of orders via a ticket system & he was running very behind so long waits for a cup of coffee, I couldn't even get a glass of water without a friend being more assertive. I wanted to ask about where I parked my car, in front of side door, as carpark was full but there was no-one available to ask, staff running about. Then I got blocked in by a van so had to find owner to move it please to let me out. After I gave a 4 * star rating, before I've had time & been asked by Google to return to post this review, The Fox & Pelican, replied gratefully to my 4 star * rating & said thank you but could I reply via email, what they could do better to gain that extra star ~ that's what I would say, for staff to recognise when customers are wanting to gain their attention

We've recently moved to the area and wanted to try out our "local". Seemed OK when we went in, warm and welcoming at the start. We didn't eat good here FYI there was just a few of us drinking on a Saturday night but short lived after a few hours when I was questioned by one of the bar staff about my friend being loud as it was only 7.30, my friend is loud for a few personal reasons but this is a pub and we were paying for drinks on a Saturday night. But I felt it was quite rude as there were other people in the pub who were being loud but felt maybe because we weren't the regulars that we were a bit pin pointed. I think it's bizarre as I've never been told someone is being too loud in a pub on a Saturday night. I thought pubs were to enjoy yourself and feel comfortable and warm but I felt this was quite rude from one particular person. Safe to say, we won't be coming back here if we can't buy drinks and enjoy ourselves.

Lovely to revisit one of our locals from our youth. Very good menu and plenty of space.

EDIT: we will be giving them a second chance apon receiving an explanation and for helping to fix the over charge (will update soon)(This is part the responsibility of fullers and the staff)Me and my mom went out for lunch and here's our opinion and problems we faced:1. Prices are beyond expensive- for the quality of the food.We ordered 2x soups 1x bowl of chips 1x pepsi half pint 1x orange juice and lemonade2. When our food arrived we were presented with bread that was thin and stale (cheap)so we politely asked for some different breadThe soup was ok but very peppery.3. They then charged us £7 for the bread that was a half peice cut in half! (At the end they refunded us for the bread wich we added a star for and we very much appreciated)4 the drinks were a total of £10 for 2 non alcohol drinks! The soup was £12 for 2So sadley were giving a rating of 2 stars.

Decent pub and certainly improved following recent renovations but in my opinion lighting still too bright for a relaxing pint....

Lovely food, nice atmosphere but so dark we couldn't read the menu so used our phone torches. Staff were Great.

Such a lovely pub/restaurant. Lots of space, friendly and cosy! I wish this was my local! I went for lunch on a rainy afternoon and it was so comfy. Food was delicious.

Went for lunch with friends on a Thursday lunchtime. Great pint of London pride and good food. Stayed for four rounds. My only criticism is that I had to clear the table of our plates and empty glasses on each occasion. There were staff present who didn’t object to my clearing the table for them.

Drop in as it looked like a good pub with a good size garden area and wasn't disappointed. Food was delicious and staff friendly and helpful.👍🏻

This is a very large pub! Lots of space indoors and outdoors. We visited on a Thursday afternoon so it was pretty quiet. The waitress was polite and allowed us to order food even though the kitchen was about to close.Food was good and the beer selection reasonable. One of our group was very happy to see they offered low alcohol beer which isn't always available at pubs in the countryside.
