Very nice place. Staff really good. Sat out in garden which was great. Food great. Drinks good.

The chap who served us was very attentive and made the evening very a pleasure.. the food was very good.

We had fish and chips with a salad garnish here last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish was cooked to perfection with a light crispy batter and crisp chips. It's a great pub with lovely staff.

·

I chose a lamb shank with mash potatoes and a side dish of mixed vegetables and my friend had Fish pie. We both enjoyed our lunch here very much. It's a comfortable friendly pub and we will be back to try their legendary fish and chips.

Booked a table for a Sunday Roast, but on arriving on Sunday was told they were not doing Sunday Roast - why was I not told this when I booked? Limited choice menu, my wife ordered fish pie but a while later was told this was off. We then both ordered fish and chips, but no garden peas. At this point reminded us of Fawlty Towers! When food did arrive it was cooked well and was good value for money, so I have rated 2 stars. However, organisation did seem rather shambolic. Although a good meal, not what we had in mind for a Sunday lunch.

·

Very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have been nicer and the food was lovely too.

·

Great beer and very clean and tidy. A great place to go for drinks, only a shame that due to illness the restaurant was closed. I hope the restaurant opens again soon.

·

Great local pub, if you are passing make the effort to go in for a drink and something to eat. Very warm and cosy with a genial welcome from the landlord and staff

Fantastic beer, obviously well kept and the food was even better, the haddock and chips was superb and the poached salmon was excellent.A nice old style country pub, good portion sizes, but do leave room for dessert, caramel apple pie with cream just topped the whole meal off wonderfully. Attentive staff and just really good food. I will be going back again very soon.
