We have had the pleasure of staying here about 12 times, the staff are incredible and go above and beyond! The dinner menu, while limited, is tasty and certain dishes are Very Fine Dining! The breakfast is varied and made all the more enjoyable by Colette and Steve! Rooms are always cleaned to the highest standard and all the little extras are a great touch. Already booked again for next week!!!

A very lovely evening sat out in the sunshine in the lovely garden area, while enjoying jugs of Pimms; just perfect. 2 of the 4 of us ate burgers which may I say was the best burger I have eaten in a longtime, cooked to perfection. The 2 others both really enjoyed the linguine, and desserts…. Wow, we shared the baked Alaska between 2 and the other 2 really enjoyed the white chocolate cheese cake. Thank you to the those in the kitchen. The service was brilliant and very welcoming. Connor, Sam and Magnus were working so hard and service was impressive. Thank you guys for a lovely afternoon.

I was part of a 18-person walking group, we stayed 2 nights at the Hampshire Hog. Speaking for myself, I really liked this hotel, with a good-sized, comfortable room, at a reasonable price. Lots of nice touches, such as plentiful complimentary tea/coffee/snacks/toiletries in my room, good quality towels, bedding & loo paper, and very comfortable, spacious bed. Internet was a little slow, but got better over time, so was OK.The integral pub/restaurant is excellent - decent food & brisk/efficient/friendly service. Beautiful area, with some stunning countryside to ramble through.I found the staff so helpful, eager to provide great service, and friendly. They coped so well with a large group. Special mention to Ashley, Connor & Magnus, who served our large group efficiently & with good humour, making us feel very welcome. Also the breakfast team did a great job. Thank you! We'll definitely be back next year. It's a very well-run small hotel, highly recommended.

Nice, large rooms with decent sized bed. They generously give you a free bottle of cider, various nibbles and of course a variety of teas and coffee. Food in the pub is decent and both meat and veggie cook breakfasts are offered.

I love pies. They're usually so mediocre. Today I had a pie at this establishment that made me feel more joy than I've had for a while. I honestly had tears. I did not think pie was capable of generating such a response. Truly memorable. I now feel sad that I will never eat a better pie before I die. I realise it may seem that I am joking. I'm not. Thank you chef for spoiling all subsequent meals for me by comparison.

We arrived late with reservations but no provision was made for food. Local deliveries were shut down, too. Dinner was crisps and nuts. Large room, comfortable bed, fridge with fresh milk for morning cuppa. Delicious breakfast of avocado on toast with smoked salmon. My "full" English was more like 3/4ths. I asked for no black pudding, an additional sausage would have been equitable compensation. One egg? Hens on strike?

Celebrated my sons 18th birthday here, table of 10 on a busy evening which didn’t hinder the service we received. And the food… high quality, well presented, tasted great 10/10! Thanks for a great night all!

BIRTHDAY MEAL, menu caters for family's who like classic flavours, and new, we had the venison burger, classic flame grilled cheese burger and fish and chips. There were moments of silence as we ate as we were enjoying the food, that doesn't happen often.I can recommend the minty peas that come with the fish as this was my moment of dying and going to heaven. XOXO

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Nice atmosphere service was good. Had a steak pie with chips and gravy. the pie was good and the chips were fantastic a light crisp on the outside and a smooth fluff on the inside, asked the server and she said they were triple fried. Best chips I've had in a long while very good and I would recommend!

Room was ok , but was cold, heating did not seem to work Very well. The room was clean, and the bathroom was adequate. Unfortunately the door to the bathroom was broken.Dinner at the Hampshire hog, was very disappointing. Lots of things off the menu. Breakfast in the morning was also not great.Would definitely not stay here again.
