The Ivy House in East Hampshire

Thank you to my waitress today.I was on table 26 .She bought my drinks as well as the food to our table.I could not carry it myself as I need to hold the handrail on the stairs. I had not been into the restaurant since covid reopening and I wrote a complaint to head office as the rules were not being adhered to,But today restored my faith and the food was excellent.

Today's breakfast was the worst - reheated sausages, cold hash browns,one sided toast, and rizla thin bacon. The drink was nice and cold though ☺️😂

Awful service. It was incredibly slow, orders constantly forgotten, and then resentful when customers are asking where their drinks are after over an hour.It was busy, but this is a large wetherspoons and there were plenty of staff.As usual the drinks selection is pretty bad, as was the food. The only saving grace is that it's dirt cheap.Speaking of dirt, standard rules of sticky tables and disgusting toilets apply here too.If you want to actually enjoy your pint somewhere, there's lots of better options in Alton.

You know what you’re getting with a Spoons but this one is pretty fancy. Looks good from the outside and then when you go upstairs for the toilets (where else would they be?!) you can get a good view out across the town.

The food was about 7 out of 10 and the dining area was somewhat shoddy. A bit of a spruce up would make it a better experience.

Not the most spectacular Wetherspoons building but it is large. Car park is just over the road but you will have to pay. Great outdoor seating with artificial grass looks very colourful. All the usual Wetherspoons assets. Huge choice of drinks, cheap beers, value meals, free refills for coffee drinkers. Toilets are up a flight of stairs but are spotless.

Staff friendly, service very good. The menu is very reasonable in price. An ideal place to go for a cheap but adequate meal.

The best Weatherspoon, we have ever visited 👍Nice, spacious interior on different levels and rooms.Large exterior space with useful landscaping.Traditional extensive menu with daily specials and I particularly like that all items have their calories annotated.I am now a pretty regular visitor and happy to recommend it ✅
