Had our first Sunday Roast here today and weren't disappointed, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our seat in the beautifully decorated bar area.We were served promptly and with a warm friendly smile from Emily, my partner and I had the roast beef as did our 6 year old daughter and can honestly say it was delicious, so much so my daughter left none. The selection of deserts also went down well and the afternoon could not of been better, set in the a beautiful area of the south downs national park.I could not think of a nicer place to enjoy great food in a family run hotel who are obviously passionate and professional in every way,see you again soon,David and Emma

I stayed at The Nest for two nights this week. The rooms feel modern and inviting, while retaining a lot of the building’s character by tastefully and subtly exposing elements of the building’s gorgeous brickwork.I ate dinner in the restaurant (rump of lamb with dauphinois potatoes) and breakfast (full English + continental) and was impressed by the value, quality and presentation of the food. The customer service from the bar staff and hotel owner was phenomenal, they helped me out with booking taxis etc. last minute and just generally went above and beyond.I’ll be back!

Fabulous owners. A true family business. They’ve clearly spent a huge amount on the refurbishment. Excellent rooms. Amazing food. They even have a secure container for bikes.

Very nice family run 14 room hotel with restaurant. Opened 3 months ago so very clean and well decorated. Our room was also very nice, no wardrobe, but this may be due to only staying one night so not a problem. Extremely lovely toiletries provided, showing a lot of thought had been given and very fluffy towels. Restaurant had a good menu and a good breakfast on offer. Situated in a very pretty and quiet village and perfect for walkers.

Very comfortable, clean room. Great bath and shower. Staff very welcoming and professional. Breakfast tasty and well cooked. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant with quality wine.Ideal location for our South Downs Way walk. Buriton itself is a lovely village with large pond and interesting church.

One visit for saturday lunch, it was very quiet. Menu extensive. Food took a long time to arrive but was pleasant. Staff were friendly to a group of six cyclists who turned up without warning.

A friend and I are walking the south downs way on a thru hike and wearily stopped in for some food and a drink. Food was prompt and tasty, pints were delicious, staff were lovely. Will happily return if in the area!Crazy to think they've only been open 6 weeks. Runs like a well oiled machine.

A real gem in Petersfield! A brilliant family run business who are so helpful and friendly. A 10 minute drive from the station, which can get you to central London in an hour, The Nest is in a fantastic location.Upon arrival we were really impressed with the revamped decor which respects the old building's unique quirks. You can really see that the family owners take great pride in what they do. Our room was generously sized and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and rounded off a really comfortable and pleasant stay.We are looking forward to returning there later this year where we will be staying there with friends and family to celebrate our wedding.

This quiet country pub with rooms is under new ownership and a new name from March 2022. Stylishly refurbished rooms (great rainfall shower) , and friendly attentive owners. Great full English breakfast.

Family Sunday lunch.Absolutely hit the spot. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. All meals came out and each were top notch. My partner and myself don’t really do desert, but when the triple came out we couldn’t help ourselves. Mini versions of all the deserts!Excellent value. We will be back to try al a carte as I do believe this is fine dining at a reduced price.Do book or you may be disappointed.See you soon Nest.
