Where is The Rising Sun public house?

🏠 North Ln, Clanfield, Waterlooville PO8 0RN

"Just off the South Downs Way, we are a good old fashioned country pub in the heart of Clanfield, offering ales, lagers, and a wide range of gins and spirits. We serve delicious, freshly cooked food throughout the day, all week, and the best roast dinners on Sundays. We have a cosy friendly indoor area with open fires and exposed wooden beams throughout. We also have an outdoor area to sit and watch the world go by long into the sunny evenings. We welcome families and we are dog friendly inside and out. Above our pub we have three comfortable clean rooms which we offer out on a bed and breakfast board. We're the perfect place for a pint and a bite to eat. We look forward to welcoming you! Ed and Kerry, Landlord and lady."

Very nice food (sorry I already tucked in before the photo). Waiting staff are very lovely and welcoming. The only place we went to twice on our weekend in the area.

Very lovely staff. Poss a little pricey on the food front. But the taste of the food sublime.

Highly recommend this pub its professional laid back and has great food , the toilets are always clean as is the pub it’s self inside and out. There is disabled access to the pub and to the toilets. The car park is ample big enough but also has another one at the other side , landlord and lady are very nice and the chef and staff also great

There this time for a Christmas lunch. Couldn't fail it, perfect. Friendly and patient staff, superb food, all three courses too. The inclusion of huge cranberries in the greens was a lovely touch, tasted good and looked good too. Highly recommended, you'll have to book.

We visited The Rising Sun as a group of 13 ladies in May this year. The pub/restaurant came highly recommended by The Night Pastures glamping site up the road where we were staying for a hen do. They did not disappoint. We were sat on 2 tables next to each other in the heated outdoor area. Food and cocktails were lovely. Communication with Ben in the lead up to us visiting was great - including helping us arrange balloons and table decorations with a local company (Hokey Cokey Party Shop). He (and another member of staff) then went above and beyond to drive us home after we had issues with our taxis. Thank you! :)

Food is very good quality with great flavours. Portion size of starters is a bit small for the price, but main courses are big and tasty.Staff are top class. Attentive, efficient and friendly. In all a great night out.

The best halloumi burger! We went here once a week during summer just to have this amazing burgers. Beef burger is also great but if you prefer vegetarian burger this is the place. They also have massive garden with lots of different sections so there is lots of space.
